For most of us, temple is a place for spiritualism. However, I think temple to be an educational institution, where along with spiritualism, people learn how to connect with people, finding their inner self, incitement to serve people, and most of all give respect and equality to all. With this attitude, I used to go to different temples around the Massachusetts time to time but was not fully quenched. Nevertheless, during fall 2014, somebody advised us to visit this temple. They advised that even though the temple remains open most of the hours in a day throughout the week try to go on Sunday evening. We took the advice and went there on one fine Sunday evening. Upon entering into the temple, the first impression was very good due to its cleanliness and maintenance. During that time Kirtan was happening, which was followed by the Aarti at 6.30PM. The ambience during the kirtan and aarti was exceptional and was not observed by us anywhere else before (and I am not embellishing it). After the aarti, dinner was served meanwhile some people were still sitting in the temple enchanting mantras. We found all this to be so much different, peaceful, and fascinating, that we decided to come back here again. After that day, we went to this temple a few more weekends and realized that I was accomplishing my satisfaction. Unlike anywhere else, here I was given full freedom to do whatever I wanted to do in any form (whether it was helping in the kitchen or serving prasadam). The people around were very helping, humble and respectable, that we started feeling like a family here. I was getting so much satisfaction spiritually and otherwise here that now I visit this temple only.
There are some other things also which I like about this temple. While parents indulge themselves into prayers, little kids get to play with each other in the temple basement without any restrictions, which makes them interested to visit this temple too. Recently, they have started classes for Sanskrit shlokas for little kids, which would not only help kids in creating better bonds with their culture, but will also increase their intellectual (since scientifically it is proven that learning multi-languages or scripts increases brain functions in kids).
Having that, I would recommend everybody to come visit this temple at least once, to experience the peace during the prayers, the freedom to offer services, helping kids learning, and meeting with wonderful...
