Run dont rent here! We rented a unit because we are selling our house. Our closing date is 9/6. We make our payment for the month on the 3rd. I let them know last week when our closing date was and asked about prorating the unit and she immediately said they dont do that and I have to pay the whole month. $289.00!! I asked why, she was very rude and dismissive and said its the policy and there was no way around it. I said thats insane even if it was a half month fine , but I have to pay the whole month for 3 days she said yes. She was unapologetically rude and smug and happy to deliver this news. I called cube smart when I got home and they said that yes it was the policy, but the store manager can waive that and prorate, I advised that was the store manager I was speaking to and she didnt mention that at all and flat out said no. The customer service rep said said that it is up to her and they cant over ride decision. Like I said I could understand If I was going to be there 3 weeks, but to charge me a full month if Im going to be there 3 days is reprehensible and it is robbery. Hopefully someone will see this and it will change their mind about renting a unit from these people, who are obviously miserable and just want other people...

By the time I left I would have been paying $100/monthly….FOR THE SMALLEST UNIT… a 5x5. They don’t work with you if you can’t afford the space. And even paying on the app costs you a small fee! My new storage place, is amazing!!! Indoor climate controlled, and exceptionally reasonable pricing. Managers at CubeSmart are courteous but that’s about it. When asked about the horrendous price increase they said it’s “street rate,” like when you rent an apartment. That’s insane! Thank you cube smart for making my move to another storage facility that much easier. I waited 45 minutes well I called two difference customer service representatives to just let me know that can’t get ahold of the store manager or main office . I couldn’t move my stuff in without signing my contract and I drove around with my stuff in my uhal as I tried to call at 1pm and finally got someone at rhe office and thats when they told me the person that was suppose to open did a no call no show. I Asked if their was something they could do considering half of my day was gone and I was paying a sitter to move hourly .
