Red Dot Studios — Attraction in Hollywood

Now that the smoke has cleared, I can thoroughly express my disappointment regarding Red Dot Studios. This was not my first event booked at the studio; it was my second within a one-month period. Unfortunately, the problems I encountered the second time were far worse than the issues I experienced the first time. My first event went smoothly. However, the second time, the space was not cleared out, as evident from the pictures on the company's website, which showed the exact same items that had to be moved during my event. Furthermore, Genesis advised that they would stage the building for videography purposes to obtain footage for the venue's promotional purposes, but this did not occur. Additionally, I was proposed other fees after I had already purchased the building, which had not been previously discussed due to issues with someone else's event. I requested a written contract, but it was never presented. The venue was also not cleaned, and we had to maneuver around various obstacles that should not have been present while setting up for my event. I am extremely disappointed regarding the entertainment I booked, for which I spent $450 and did not get to enjoy. I also purchased extra time at the studio, which was not refunded to me, despite the inconvenience I experienced upon arrival. Initially, I was unable to enter the building as they were late opening the gate, and a truck was stored in the parking lot area. I was informed that the truck would not be moved because they did not have the key, despite the fact that utilizing the outside space had been discussed with Genesis. Various items, such as coffee makers, fax machines, and desks, which were being used for day-to-day activities, were not cleared out of the venue. These issues were discussed prior to the event and had not been taken care of. As a result, I am highly disappointed this time, and I do not typically write bad reviews. However, if I am going to write a review, I need to accurately reflect my experience, which was not pleasant. I believe they can do better business. As a dance choreographer myself, I am familiar with the industry, and I had previously discussed utilizing the space to restart my dance company, which would have involved a contract. However, that has been dissolved, as my business partner feels that this is not a great choice. I wish the business all the best, but I will not be utilizing their services again.

Art for the Heart was an incredible success, and so much of that had to do with hosting it at Red Dot Studios. The artists were amazing, the energy was high, and the venue truly elevated the entire experience.

When we did our event recap with the planning team, one thing we all agreed on was how perfect the location was. Red Dot is the spot for hosting classy, creative events. The mirrors on wheels added such a dynamic touch to the space, and having a real stage gave our performances the presence they deserved.

Genesis is a phenomenal partner...attentive, helpful, and genuinely invested in making sure everything is in place to create the right ambiance and flow.
