I’ve been a regular at Thanks to Harrison since last September, largely because my son’s Saturday classes take place nearby. The atmosphere is great, and the food presentation is consistently excellent—those are the highlights that keep me coming back. However, there are some frustrations that have pushed me to reconsider my weekend routine.

My biggest disappointment is that they serve breakfast until 2 PM on weekends. Since I typically arrive around 1:30 PM, I’m stuck having breakfast for lunch every time. As someone who tries to eat healthy and avoid sugar and bread, this leaves me with an extremely limited menu—basically just an omelette, shakshuka, or a green salad. Even my husband and son, who don’t have dietary restrictions, find the breakfast-only option until 2 PM a bit awkward. The waiter often says, “Our guests love having breakfast this late,” but I’d argue they should offer a choice and see what happens. From what I observe every Saturday, plenty of people seem to struggle with deciding between croissants or syrniki for lunch.

Beyond that, the quality of service has noticeably declined since we started coming here. They no longer bring water unless you ask, and they won’t refill it without a reminder. The drink quality has slipped too—last time, my Aperol Spritz was watery, with barely any bubbles. It’s disappointing, because this used to be a reliable spot. For my Saturday 1:30 PM meal, I’ll sadly have to find another place.

Exceptionally delicious approachable elegance. Stopped by for brunch and loved everything. The food, the service, the drinks - it’s all phenomenal.

Highlights for me were the meringue topped syrnyky and the morel mushroom egg croissant. My husband got the fermented salmon croissant which was also tasty, it had a slight sweetness and tang that was delicious. I also tried the shrimp caviar toast which was a really fun mix of textures and flavors.

Everyone at our table loved their food. Other people got the shrimp and grits and commented on how good the grits and cheese were. I love the slightly sweet shrimp they use!

There’s a clear attention to detail that stands out in the dishes here. Everything is artfully arranged and balanced for flavor and texture. All my bites were tasty with well-prepared and nice quality food.

The drinks are great too. I loved the Osaka lemonade and the espresso I got at the end of the meal. They have a lot of alcoholic beverages plus coffee and a fair spread of non-alcoholic options like some unique lemonades and sodas. Cucumber water for the table was a nice touch.

Service was excellent! The vibe is nice too, refined but comfortable. They have high chairs and they were very welcoming to the little one in our group.

It’s in downtown Hollywood so only paid parking in the immediate vicinity. Parallel parking up front plus garages in walkable distance nearby.
