Homewood Central Park — Attraction in Homewood

I have played baseball on these fields since I was a child. It had been a while, so me and a couple of friends went to play today at the same field we always play on. There were only six of us, and we played for about 30 minutes until this security/maintenance man pulls up in his red Tahoe and tells us we have to leave cause the field is "lined off for a game" [sic]. We didn't have a problem with that, but I asked him if all the fields were prepped for games, and he said all of them were. As my friends packed the car, I checked the other fields and no other field was even close to ready for a game to be played on it. We had all we could take of him, and so we just left the facilities, which is all he really wanted. He just sat in his Tahoe and spied on us to make sure we left. It was bad enough that he showed up mad, and kicked us off, but the fact that he lied about all the other unused fields was too much, and so I am writing this review. I spoke with two other faculty members on the phone, and they were very courteous, and said we could play on any field that wasn't scheduled for a game. Hopefully the staff will do something to correct that individual's attitude, because he was rude, hateful, and dishonest. Homewood should be ashamed...

Got some late night DQ with my kids and took it to Homewood "Central" Park which it's called because it is a park. Over by the playground, we saw some teens milling about singing Amazing Grace. Their singing wasn't really that good. I'd give them about a 4/10. Their harmony wasn't on pitch, their articulation was muddy, and their rhythms were erratic. I didn't hear it, but I'd bet they didn't sight read very well, either. Probably about 1/10 I'd imagine, and that's being generous. I had cheese curds from DQ, and I'd easily give them a 10/10 - beautiful harmonies, crisp articulation, and a warm cheesey center. It's all I could ask for, maybe more. The sign said there are snakes in the creek, and I'm not going verify that, believe you me. You don't have to tell me twice, Jack. Jack. Jack. Jack. Jack. Jack. Loose. Singers - bad. One Saturday ago I was in the rec center playing basketball when an older african man by the name of mr Owens came up to me talking about I wasn't a member when I told him let me go get card he became very rude trying to rush me to the desk and raising his voice with a very bad look on his face At me. I have called his supervisor and talked to the other employees of that establishment which they have all said they don't like him and have seen him act rude to many other people that have came in there. So if you go into the homewood recreational center on Saturdays watch him if he goes up to your kids or you cause he is not a friendly person to be around.
