Amazing place! Our waitress Hailey was exceptional! She was very attentive professional and a pure joy! Management hang onto her and reward her as she is a very good addition to your goldmine of a restaurant! Currently I am watching my carb intake so ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich and did not eat the garlic grilled french bread - which looked to die for, as I wanted to save eating the carbs - and the 8 oz of prime rib served with the caramelized onions and Havarti cheese was fork tender as wonderful as a Filet mignon! Trust me you will not be disappointed with this sandwich! For Those of you who aren’t watching your carbs enjoy that delicious garlic French bread! I tried the beer called “Southern Grit” - while probably carb heavy for me I relished the smoothness and bodied flavor - it tasted like “Corona” on steroids and was excellent - A must try for those who like a pale ale! Their house salad is going to drop your jaw- all the fixings of a traditional garden salad but with a delicious twist of bacon and avocado! It will blow your taste buds out of the water! I as well tried the “Scotch Egg” FATEN YOUR SEAT BELT!!!!! It was THE BEST SCOTTISH EGG - I had ever tasted! Cooked to perfection with the yolk perfect to the point that it would put a British Pub to shame! The Italian sausage was over the top satisfying - It was so perfectly done I had to call the manager to the table and rave about it’s perfection. It was so good you could make a meal out of just two of those alone! The Panko crumb exterior was flawlessly deep fried - it came traditionally split in half and was a picture! My dinner partner ordered soft flour tortilla fish tacos - smoked Chipotle dipping sauce wet their whistle and the tacos were excellent! I am telling you right now make this a hang out you will be very rewarded with the quality of the food and the very smart trendy decor! The atmosphere and ambiance was stellar! We store our RV across the street and watched the renovation and grand opening as we would come and go when retrieving and returning our RV and always said when they open we have to try this place! BOY AM I GLAD WE DID! We will be back for sure! So take the time and check this establishment out it is worth the effort - you will be...
Read moreWe visited Copp Brewery for dinner, and, of course, to try the beers. We enjoyed the food and the beers were great, but the way things operate at this establishment has a lot to be desired. We entered as a party of two, and when two people go out for dinner and drinks, the expectation is to spend time with the other person. We spent maybe half our time at Copp doing that, and the rest of the time, one of us was at the table and the other waiting in line. When we walked in, we were seated in a booth and noticed the signs to order at the bar. There were no beer menus on the table, so I asked an employee for one, who told me I could get one at the bar. I saw a long line at the bar, so I looked for a QR code, but didn't see one anywhere. I checked the website to see if they showed what was on tap. No menu of any sort there either. So I got in line at the bar. I made friends here, as the people in line were very cordial. In fact, the topic of discussion was how the lady tending bar was taking care of the seated people at the bar and the line we were in was her last priority. How frustrating for me and everyone in line. All I wanted was a beer menu, too. I finally got the menu, took it to our table to decide what to order, and then had to go back to the same line again to order. It was longer than before. I started to regret coming here and politely waited to order our beers. I was smart this time and asked for a food menu too, because I only saw beers listed on the menu I got the first time. I brought the beers back to the table and they were very good. We picked our meals, both salads and since those got ordered at the bar too, I went back for my third time now in the even-longer line. Another wait. The bartender entered my order into their system and handed me a pager with instructions to go to another counter to pick up the food when the pager went off. I had to ask if that counter would also have a long line and I just got a dirty look in response. I'm just a customer, after-all and I've been away from our table more than I've been there at this place. My tip for anyone visiting Copp on a weekend night is to come in a large enough group and take turns who gets stuck waiting in line. For two people, it simply doesn't...
Read moreTried ALL 12 beers -- AMAZING! The best tasting & most well rounded brewery on our BreweryAndBeachTour of the Florida gulf coast. After a few days sampling 15 or so local Tampa breweries, we stopped in to see what Copps was all about.
We were "blown-away-surprised"! My mate & I's experience - UNFORGETTABLE. Copp is about GREAT BEER! Each individual selection of beer, from the Milk Stout Porter to the New Zealand IPA, carried its origin of taste across your palate - the ESB had that malty-earth tone of an England Pub; the Brown is expectantly nutty with a malty-smooth finish; and the King's Bay IPA made me think I was back in Queenstown NZ looking out on Lake Wakatipu sipping on a "full-bodied yet mildly-hoppy" local brew.
We actually got to hang out and talk with the owner/master brewer for a few hours in the tasting pub. We learned about the brewery's origin and got to hear about some great beer history. Copp's loves beer & the enjoyable experiences that people share around it. You can taste the heart behind the craft with each sip. The aroma and finish are paired together extraordinaryly well. They have mastered blending the nuances of flavors with just the right amount of malt, hop, and refreshing taste to perfection. It literally awakened my inner child...if he could drink that is. AND if you're hungry and they ask you if you'd like a pretzel w/ their homemade onion dip, SAY YES!! We did twice.
I had planned on trying some of their wine, but the beer was so amazing that I didn't turn back - I can't imagine it being anything but spectacular. Planning on checking out the new location coming soon.
If you're open to a great experience, and you love beer, this is hidden gem that you won't regret...
