My family and I decided, just a week before Spring Break, to swim with the manatees, do some kayaking, etc., and our first call was to American Pro Diving to make sure we could get on an excursion with them. Once we reserved our trips with them the lady asked where we were staying. We hadn't reserved a room yet so she said to call Holiday Inn Express and told us how great a place it was and that they had a discount code on their website too. Now sometimes when a business refers you to another it's because they get something out of it and it ends up not being the best decision, but in this case, it was the opposite! We loved staying here! From the time we checked in at about 10:00 pm on Saturday until we left on Wednesday morning, everything about our stay couldn't have been better. Our room and the entire facility was VERY clean and well-kept (I was actually surprised that it wasn't almost new) and the rooms are spacious and we'll-equipped. They even have Keurig coffee machines and give you both regular and decaf K-cups. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and it's obvious that they love what they do. The night clerk, Jennifer recommended some excellent restaurants, and Tammy, who handles the free breakfast, was especially outstanding. She went above and beyond to help us to enjoy the excellent food. They have an amazing variety of things for breakfast and even offer healthier options like turkey sausage and egg white omelets, which you don't often see at most hotels. And she made sure that everything was fully stocked and fresh, right until the last minute of the breakfast times. Other places we've stayed start tearing down the food 10 minutes or more before it came ends and that's just not right. She even remembered that we told her that we were going to swim with the manatees on Monday, which was why we went down to eat at 6:30 am, and she asked us the next day how we enjoyed ourselves! I definitely HIGHLY recommend this hotel and we will back next year..:. and also plan to bring...
Read moreWe had a wonderful stay. The hotel and staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean. Very close to all restaurants and shopping. Unfortunately with covid-19 restrictions we could not get regular housekeeping. We where informed if we wanted someone to come in and change the towels and empty garbage just let front desk know. Well on Wednesday of our 5 day stay I asked that someone please have someone change our towels and empty the garbages. We went off early in the a.m. to do some touring. We made sure our door was closed and locked. When we returned at 5 p.m. our door was left open for I do not know how long. The dirty towels where removed but not replaced. The garbages where not cleaned out. I was very upset because when we arrived on the Sunday there where homeless people hanging around and the hotel had signs making sure you did not leave any valuables in your car plus there just happened to be a bus full of teenagers that had just arrived that day. So we had everything in our room that we could not leave in our car. Fortunately no one went in our room but it was very disturbing that this had happened at all. I felt very violated the rest of our stay. The hotel management tried to apologize but that does not take the feeling away of being violated. Unfortunately this experience was upsetting but the management tried to inform us that they would talk to all their staff about...
Read moreYou will not regret staying at this hotel. I cannot think of a single negative thing to say. I did not swim in the pool so I cannot say anything about that. But I did use the fitness room, eat breakfast, and buy some snacks. We stayed here 4 nights in Crystal River, Florida. Check-in was so simple. I was greeted as a member and had my room key cards probably within 5 minutes. Everyone I encountered at this hotel smiled, and were truly and genuinely happy to see you. The rooms were immaculately clean. They provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, and lotion in reusable containers, which i'm sure saves the hotel lots of money. The room curtain comes down in a track which means not a single inch of light comes in every morning to wake you up. There are so many plugs/USB ports in this room; the refrigerator is big for a hotel room; you have a microwave, an ice bucket, and a Keurig coffee machine with 4 pods that are replenished every morning. If you are staying for a week, they will not waste their water and detergent by changing your sheets and your blankets every single day. I appreciate that. If you are staying longer than a week, they will change them every week. They replenish your towels, cups, kpod's and other consumable things every day. I could go on and on about this hotel, but you will not regret staying here. And Crystal River is a...
