Attended this luau with my family. There are limited self parking spots, and then some valet parking too. Instructions said arrive 4:45pm so we did, but we were not let in. Had to sit outside and wait for 30 minutes until they let us in. That's a lot of wasted time and we were simply bored. The food overall is good, but I didn't hear the announcement for food because we were learning how to weave. By the time we got there, we stood in line and got our food but they cleaned up before we had a chance for seconds. The food tasted good though, especially the pork and chicken and the desserts! The free 2 drink tickets are set for what you can get. Everything else is an upsell, so be prepared to pay a lot more for alcoholic drinks. But the free kids drinks were good. The show itself was really good, except that they built the stage too low, and it was very difficult to see no matter what grade or type of seating you had. That is very poor planning on the company's behalf. I assumed there would be seating with different height levels, but everyone was blocking everyone's view basically. If you go for the food, it was good. If you go to see the show, the performers are excellent, but the view and layout sucks. You can see from my pictures how everyone's heads blocked the show. Only the first person in the first table row would have a good view. Even if you upgrade to a closer seat, same blocked view. People were also constantly walking through the isles, which interrupted the view non stop. So while the performers were amazing, poor planning on the company's layout. I'd recommend seeing the luaua at the Polynesian Cultural Centre instead. That show has levels of seating so even if you are at the very back in the cheapest seats, you still get an unobstructed view. We still enjoyed the show, but we couldn't see half of it. I won't give a low review because the dancers and food was good, but I wouldn't choose this luaua.

Really enjoyed the luau. Great entertainment. The dancers were wonderful. I believe the lead male dancers name was Jerry. He came out in the beginning and educated the audience on how many uses there was for the palm tree. He showed us bowls, brooms, head attire, baskets etc that were all made from palm tree leaves. I do however wish he would have shown us exactly how the broom was made because I could have sworn there was black tape wrapped around the middle of that broom.🤔 he showed how to break apart a coconut but he didn't follow his own instructions. He said to hit the nose of the coconut but he hit the side of the coconut each time. Maybe I misunderstood. So pay attention when he's explaining so you don't leave confused like me🙃 the female dancers once again proved to all us females that we have no clue how to shake our hips the right way. Believe me!! We all stood up and tried. Lol they got it going on. Yet they make it look so freaking easy. All the dancers did several custom changes in less then 60 secs and were right back on the stage. The fire act is always a big hit and it was once again when I was there. Our group was front and center and had a great time. The food was ok. I loved the salad. The rice was really sticky (if that makes sense). I had to use a lot of butter to get it to separate and have any flavor. Didn't care for the potatoes. I wasn't expecting them to be sweet potatoes cut into chunks. The veggies were pretty good. Maybe I just got a bad section of the pork. It just seemed chewy to me. Yet my friend enjoyed it. So again it could have been a bad portion I grabbed while in the buffet line. All in all the luau was GREAT. The people were all very nice. The bathrooms def need some work though. You can't expect 50 plus women to all use a bathroom with only 2 maybe 3 stalls. That doesn't work. Just saying. Definitely worth going to. Great, fun times

Purchased the Celebrity package with transportation from Waikiki. The bus was large, clean and comfortable. The driver pointed out sites and things to do along the way. On arrival we were given wristbands color coded to the package you purchased. The Celebrity package included private table near the stage, a photograph, orchid leis and four drink coupons in addition to the welcome mai tai. Due to covid there was no buffet. The food was brought out in boxes. Small box had salad. Large box had kalua pork, a piece of fish and a piece of bbq chicken. There was also rice, noodles, corn and and vegetable I'm unfamiliar with, but had a good flavor. It was all tasty and we enjoyed the food. Dessert was a cup of ice cream with chocolate and nuts. The show was entertaining although "smaller " than what I remember from a few years ago. Probably another covid casualty. They invited audience participation and there were many corny jokes. It started drizzling during the performance but the show went on and luau employees started distributing emergency thin plastic ponchos in the Celebrity seating area. The light rain stopped after some minutes and I don't know if the ponchos were passed out in other seating areas. The show finished before 8pm and the bus dropped us off in Waikiki around 830pm. The package also included admission to the Sea Life aquarium which we utilized the next day when we were driving around the east side of Oahu. Standard admission to the aquarium is normally around $39 per person. We also had to pay $5 parking. Celebrity seating gives the best views of the stage. It gets progressively more difficult to see the show the further back you sit. Tickets are not cheap, but if you can you should consider upgrading your seating. It appears probable that the earlier you reserve the closer your table.

Really enjoyed the luau! Definitely think the celebrity seats are worth the price since you’re already paying $100+ anyway. Cultural activities: Definitely come earlier so you can enjoy all of them and chat with the performers. They are all so nice!! If you come right on time, you will miss some of the pre show. Activities include: making your own cofounder leaf headband, making your own lei bracelet, playing with some of the musical instruments that the band will use, and getting temporary tattoos. Dinner: In celebrity seating, dinner gets brought to you so you don’t need to wait on line. The “two drinks per person” is only if you get basic (not signature) drinks. It’s basically a voucher for $16. Basic drinks are $8 each and signature drinks are $18. That price does not include tax and tip. But the complementary mai tai is nice. Performances: Very fun, entertaining, and talented group! I’m so impressed that there were 8 main dancers throughout the whole show- doing costume and makeup changes between acts. MC was great. Fire performances occur near the end. Snack bag and souvenir gift: The snack bag is a bag of Hawaiian chips and chocolate. The souvenir is a pin. All in all- the celebrity seating is worth the price because of the closer view to the performers. If you’re there for the food and the vibes more than a closer look at the show, then I think the basic package is fine. The shell lei was cuter than I expected when I saw others wearing them.

What an experience! We had the pleasure of enjoying Ka Moana Luau and got way more than we expected. I thought the luau was just the food portion, but we had an entire culturally immersive experience on top of incredibly delicious food. When we first arrived we were greeted with leis and led into an area where we could choose from several different stations that had different culturally immersive activities to partake in. I decided to weave my own headband out of banana leaves while my dad and brother watched some demonstrations on local traditions. Then we gathered to watch a demonstration of how coconuts were traditionally harvested from high in the treetops. Next came time for dinner and boy oh boy! I wish I had taken pictures of the spread to accurately represent how amazing it was. The Kalua pork, poi, mac salad...I could go on and on. For the 21+ there's delicious tropical cocktails available too. They gave us enough time to all get some food and settle in before the show began. We got to see so many different dances and performances that represent the history of not only Hawaii but all of Polynesia. There were different dance styles as well as flame spinners telling the rich history of this region through song and dance. There were a few audience participation moments that ended up being pretty funny seeing people trying to hula after a few Mai Tais. Overall, this was such an amazing experience and worth every penny.

Overall the performers deserve all the credit. They were amazing!! However it wasn’t what I was expecting and maybe that’s because my concierge person “hyped” it but a bit too much and just wanted to points of booking the event, on top of that, after talking with other couples it was VERY clear I paid double the amount than most of them there, ($400 for 2 ppl, this is the “splash package” with transportation) the other couples were shocked. Again I think this has to do with my concierge. But definitely not worth $200 per person! The food was AWFUL!! I do recommend eating before coming, it was cold and tasteless and literally the same food that you get at every tourist event. Everything felt a bit rushed, they started the entertainment while ppl were still in line for food and the tree climber was climbing the tree while people were still walking into the event. Lastly the “host” of the show would not shut up, he kept talking over the performance which took away from the chanting and was just super commercialized. The night before I went to the “ Star of Honolulu sunset dinner cruise“ in Waikiki and it was the same exact dances (minus the fire dancing) with WAY better food, half the price, and ALL YOU CAN EAT! anyways again the performance was AMAZING there are just things that need to be worked on and be careful with who you book with cause deff not worth $200 per person!
