I took my 3 year old granddaughter to The Three Snow Bears in Cambridge, MN. This play was probably the worst I have seen. You tried to tie in all the environmental issues. do you think the kids would understand what you are saying at that age. All the kids in the audience were restless because to be honest, the story line was NOT even told. You side tracked and Alooki wasn't looking for her dogs like the book, there was no going into the igloo to taste the breakfast, to see the furry boots, to fall asleep and the bears show up and find her. We get notified that the story would be changed about 2 weeks prior to show. No refund offer that I saw. The story and message was a little more teen/adult oriented. Made for quite an expensive flop of a Christmas present. Took them all to Cherry Berry after to try to make up for the disappointment of not seeing the story they were read and they expected. Read moreWe had the pleasure of seeing a production of The Dandelion Seed here, which is part of their Theater for the Very Young program. The entire cast and crew was so kind, gentle, and attentive to our toddler! She felt very safe wandering around and checking out the theater, the set, etc. There were many lovely invitations to play and participate-- I definitely plan to keep bringing her to these! She got a lot out of it even as a new walker, and I think that she is likely to enjoy this type of production all the way through early elementary school when she's ready for less participatory shows.
