The food was good and our waiter even better. HOWEVER the gentleman working security was an absolute jerk. It was our first time here and upon arriving we were told to pick where to sit, so we chose a booth on the left side of the restaurant. We ordered food and drinks which honestly exceeded my expectation. After finishing our food our waiter asked if we would like another round, we happily said yes (outside of myself due to being a DD for the night) because we were digging the vibe. While waiting for our drinks a guy came over and asked if we were wearing wrist bands. We replied no as we were unaware of why we needed wrist bands. Instead of explaining why we needed wrist bands for the spot we were told to select ourselves, we were met with attitude and hostility. Come to find out in order to keep our seats we had to pay an additional $10 per person for live music. After the lovely conversation with the gentleman doing security we decided to leave. To top it all off while I was leaving a waitress was talking to the security guy about other customers complaining about a similar situation. Although unprofessional to allow a customer to hear this conversation in passing, it gave me a sense of relief it wasn’t just me feeling this way.
After reflecting on the situation all I could think is that it could have been avoided for not only myself but for others. How? One, when people are greeted at the door let them know that the left side of the restaurant will be a $10 per person at a certain time of night for live music. Two, have someone with people skills talk to a table of guests especially if they are going to be asked to spend additional money or else move to a different table. It is not the $10 per person that bothered me, but the principal of customer service that should be upheld once a standard is set by the other people serving your customers. Overall I would have gladly spent more money if I was simply informed before choosing my spot or talked to respectfully regarding the additional price for my seat. I totally get that there is a band there and that you should pay for the entertainment. I would have gladly done so if the guy had an ounce of respectability and...
Read moreThe doorman made my friend feel very uncomfortable. Because he sent me to the ATM machine, and she was following me over there, and he said you need to come back here and wait. She told me what am I going to do go run and hide so I don't have to pay cover charge. Really! The doorman should be able to take a debit card, instead of making your patrons using ATM machine that charges $3 dollars, I'm not even sure if it wasn't the machine charged me $3 then Wells Fargo was going to charge me $3 I would going to be six dollars I don't know I didn't have a chance to read it. Unless main Street bar owns the AT? we didn't want to stay,we just going to have a drink and a bit to eat,and we have to pay $10.00 cover charge, to spend more money on food and drinks. Then a couple came in, and he told me $10 a piece cover charge, they said they were going to stay they just think of something to eat I believe and he let them in for nothing! And I have to pay $23 if not $26 to come in and do the same thing. So we left. It was a not crowded, Main Street bar and grill should of let us come in.we would of spent more on dinner and drinks, then $10.00. and also if you're going to let one couple in and not pay cover charge you need to do it for us also. I feel that we were discriminated because we were two women? There should be an ethical code set in your your company if your going let 2 people in free to eat and have a drink or two,you need to do it the 2 lady that wanted to do the same. I would think that would be a discrimination against me and my friend. So we just left so you didn't get my $23.or 26 nor did you get my money for the steak I wanted and a couple glasses of wine and then my friend also was going to have the same. Ethics goes a long way. ou guys should have been paying us to come inBut you would have made...
Read moreI went to this place on 12/12/23, with two peers of mine during a business trip. We opted to go there for lunch. We enjoy good food and the waitress was great. The issue happened when I returned back home from my business trip, I saw that the transaction that took place on Mainstreet, was still showing pending status after a month. I reached out to my bank and they're stating that it's on the vendor's side. So I called Mainstreet and a lady answered, I asked to speak with a manager because there was a pending transaction that I needed to know how to resolve. She puts, Kaleb or Calib, I don't know how his name is spelled because he "refused to give his personal information".. He refused to help me with my pending card transaction and hung up on me twice. I was trying to get this transaction resolved so that his business could be paid.. But he rather be a jerk and refuse to spell his name and help his business get paid.. what an a$$hole!
Needless to say, I will not be returning to this place because of this jerk. And I'll stop worrying about having his payment processed for his business. If he's not worried, why should I? That manager needs to have a lesson or two on customer service. Most of them wear their names on their name badges and he can't spell it out for someone on the phone? Rediculous! Don't spend your hard earner money here, this manager does not deserve...
