Im not one to complain about a lot of things needless to say …. But for the past 9 months of my fiancé and I living at Higdon Ferry apartments had been HELL . At first everything was great , we loved it . The manager always replied back before we moved in . But boy as soon as you move in it’s 3-6 days before you get a response. I have set back and let it go . But as time goes on it’s ridiculous. A month after we moved in we were being charged for late fees mind you we have never been late paying our rent unless told to do otherwise . Matt the apartment manager told us to hold off on paying our rent until they were able to get the late fees and other fees taken off . Spoke with someone else and they said that we should never wait to pay our rent . We had fought and fought until about 2 months ago about our rent . Now that we got that sorted and done with we started having other problems with our sink not draining , Or things coming in our sink . Put in maintenance request and it’s days before anything else is done . Fast forward until now it stays 87-90 degrees in our apartment due to the fact our a/c does not work . Oh but don’t worry you can put a maintenance request in and they come and pretend they fix it and leave . Oh ! but it doesn’t work . So you put another one in . They come . It’s the same cycle over & over . You can text Matt and let him know and you get no response. I’ve been to his office plenty of times to report issues and the latest one has been the A/C and the leaking in the bathroom . I finally had enough of it when our bathroom roof started falling down . Maintenance comes in and looks at it all and tells us they would come fix it on Tuesday. Mind you this was 2-3 weeks ago . Still not fixed . A/C still doesn’t work . Your Hot water will go in and out just about 2 weeks out of every month . If there is someone looking into renting an apartment. Please don’t choose Higdon Ferry apartments . The management is lazy. Oh ! Let’s not forget how there was human waste coming in the parking lot …. It also states having aggressive animals as well that it is not allowed . Just so happens there is someone in our apartment that has an aggressive dog and nothing gets done about it when you report it , you get told they will be evicted soon and then brushed off ! Oh and let’s not forget how you can be showering and someone comes by multiple times and bangs on your shower window while showering . You report it to the apartment manager and nothing gets done about it . There may be cameras up but don’t let that fool you ! They don’t work ! Oh and someone running by a hitting your living room window as well ! They won’t do anything about someone standing by your apartment door at night either ! And to add the cherry on top there will be mold growing in your bathroom from that leak . But they sure do encourage you to move into one of their cozy , warming apartments ! Read moreI had gone to the apartments with my newly grown daughter looking for her a place to live. When I went to the office I met Kat & Katie. I was greeted with happy smiling faces. Offered a cold beverage and a snack. They have been amazing through this entire process!!! Not only did Kat take the time to not only go over one bedroom information for my daughter, she answered all my questions on the bigger units available. I applied thinking it would be a month or so before they had a big enough unit available, or that I would waste money to be denied. Within a few days I was approved and able to get assigned to a unit. My entire unit was furnished with brand new appliances, carpet, mirrors and lighting etc. Katie herself spent days in my unit to ensure that it was ready for move in. I love that that there is no upfront deposit. It's a monthly add on into rent. All bills are paid through the portal. My biggest concern was not having in unit laundry. But, the laundry rooms have been updated and made accessible to residents any time of day. I am 100% satisfied with my experience here and my new home!!!!! Kat & Katie are the best. Read moreThis is not family friendly let alone human friendly.. Let’s just start off with used needles chilling on the stair cases, I’ve seen multiple piles of poop on the stair cases as well. One of my neighbors got infested with bed bugs and never resolved the issue. Maintenance is absolutely horrible, AC went out all summer and they offered a small fan, heat and air guy came but never came back. Huge water bugs, roaches, and pest all were present. You can not control the water temp it’s so wishy washy. The residents that are there will fight you over your parking spot, and random people sleeping in their cars that don’t live there. Lots of black mold in the vents and walls, our ceiling fell through and they put a board up then painted it then it fell again because the obvious leak we told them about didn’t get fixed the first time. And when the ceiling fell all you could smell and see was black mold. Homeless people will come and sleep in the stairs. Please don’t waste your money on this place. You sign a lease that won’t let you have cameras, & if you find bugs you will be charged a fee. There’s plenty more if that’s not enough to stop you from signing the lease then you can’t say I didn’t try...
