Don't believe what they say on their phone greeting...they will not call you. They are impossible to work with, both for the patient, and the medical referral team.
UPDATE: Ok, after raising a stink with everyone I could find connected with this place, she did call back less than 48 hours before I have to leave for my medical appointment, to tell me there's no vacancy. Says they get many applications and they never know when they will have vacancy. That tells me their criteria is not first come, first served (like any other lodging business who CAN TELL YOU if they have availability), though no one has told me yet who does get in. Maybe they wait until it's down to the wire and choose the people furthest away?? I'm not willing to risk sleeping in my car because I didn't have time to make a reservation somewhere else. The resident are all very friendly. Most of the staff is very kind. And on my last night, the night, that I checked out, I met Maxine.
