Grady Park used to be one of our favorite spots. Hang with the kids or walk around the track. I knew it may be the day after a big rain, but the playground shouldn't look like this. Rubber pellets wooden chips are saying should be there to cover the background. Plastic covering protruding from the ground children could trip and hurt themselves is really a hazard in such a nice place to go. That's been left in disarray. Houston parks and recreation, shame on you. This park sits in the galleria area on San Felipe, one of the highest tax districts in the city.

I reached directly out to the city of Houston Parks and rec. And they were Johnny on the spot. Thanks to Houston parks and recreation. The return email.

Your email to AskParks was forwarded to Facilities Management & Development.  Please note installation of wood chips at Grady Park Playground was completed on February 7, 2024.

Grady Park is a smaller park but had a nice setup to accommodate activities such as tennis, walking/running, basketball, and playground for your little ones. The tennis court has lights for early morning or late night matches. It is only one single court, so you will need to be mindful of others wanting to access the courts. No bathrooms are available on-site, and parking is fairly limited. Also, in the middle of the track, there is a beautiful grassy area setup for picnics on a blanket, yoga, etc. The reason I gave a 3-star review is due to the lack of parking, no bathrooms on-site, and tennis court...

Grady Park is a convenient little city park. It has a good walking/jogging track that seems to be a third of a mile around, has enclosed tennis courts, and several children's playgrounds. It is always well maintained and lighted at night. It serves the Galleria area community very well and is within easy walking distance from Sage Plaza, the Galleria, and many Westheimer area businesses. Couples, singles, dog walkers, and kids all frequent it, but it does not seem to be too crowded, as people come at different times. Overall it is a great stressbuster and a place to enjoy some greenery and...

This a wonderful park in a safe area of Houston. There is a large playground with unique features and shade cover. There is a rock climbing spherical unit, slides, monkey bars, swings, spinning baskets, etc. There is plenty of room to run and play. There is a tennis court, basketball half court and a gravel running track (easy on the knees). There is a plethora of benches for sitting, picnic tables and trash cans. There is also a lot of shade from mature trees. No onsite restroom or port-o-john.
