The interior of this place is quite nice - surprisingly so. It’s in a well-trafficked part of town, and is a free, public resource, and naturally, people take advantage of it. Good on them; that’s what it’s for. I get that if you came here to study, it could be distracting to hear, smell or otherwise be aware of other human beings, and people pass through here who desperately need a safe space, even if just for a while. I can’t really hold that against the library - I’m glad it’s here for them, especially during the hottest hours of the day. Suffice it to say: if I needed absolute peace and quiet (isolation, etc), I wouldn’t recommend a public library (if you have other options). If you don’t have other options (apart from the network of HPL libraries), this place is pretty great. There is a ‘Living Room’ with 10 very large, comfortable sitting chairs, magazine rack, 5 charging stations (2 outlets on a side table in between each pair of chairs) and a huge picture window that opens onto a space that is likely shielded from direct sunlight during all operating hours. It’s got a sparse, odd interior design (like several of the HPL locations in the area) that seems like someone at an architecture firm read an article about hygge once, but I like that it’s updated and clearly some resources were devoted. Highly recommend. And give to the Friends of the Library Society.

Very nearby to Galleria community. It's not big as of Central library, but good one for the community. This library is part to HPL and offers lot of facility to their customers. You can return the books you lend from Central library so you can save time and energy. Also you can hold any books from other HPL locations and collect it from here. The staffs are so friendly during my visit helping me to collect books for my kids. They even shared me the calendar and invite kids to story telling and other programs. The parking is free and open. I'll recommend every book lover to visit this library.

1 star for not changing your hours online or even on your building. It doesn't matter that you've got your new hours posted if you haven't removed the old hours. In the past 5min of waiting outside over 10 cars have come by expecting you to be open. You have wasted all of our times. I will adjust this score accordingly once the hours have been adjusted across the board.

ATTENTION: THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH VISITING!!! This place was the WORST experience I've ever had at any library!!! People need to understand that computers are RESERVED 60 min per use. I got attacked verbally by 3 different females whose little minds couldn't comprehend the use of computer time/reservation. One questioning my understanding of a reservation, to which in fact she herself didn't understand. Another accusing me of taking up her time due to "personal" family matters. To which, had nothing to do with me being that her time was up and the computer was already reserved. The lady next to her trying to get my name for whatever reason, I have no clue and at the same time defending the lady who couldn't comprehend her time had ended. Both librarians (whom one had an attitude from the get go) on duty did NOTHING to help out. I should of ripped that borrowed library card code. The sad part is I REALLY didn't need all the stupid 60 min. I would of gladly let her have the rest of the time after I was done with my task, but her verbally attacking didn't help. If my friend didn't pull me away this might of been my first time slapping the STUPID out of a complete stranger. I have respect for my elders, but not when they're quick to disrespect me. I will NEVER step foot inside a place full of such incompetence! One would expect intelligence and common sense inside of a library, along with help from the librarians on site. THIS BRANCH IS NOT WORTH...

This Saturday I had a very disappointing experience in Jungman Passport at the Jungman Neighborhood Libraryin Houston. I came after receiving my new passport with the wrong last name. There was no way to be attended in the office although likely there was a mistake made by one of their functionaries after reviewing my original application form. This time they never gave me access into the office, they poorly served me in the hall or even in the exit to the parking lot. Any of the two functionaries I talked to were in any interest to help and intent to discuss their possible responsibility in the issue. The conclusion is that they are only interested in charging you for the initial service but they are not in a position to asume any responsibility after that. Victor, the manager that day, was very unprofessional, all the time trying to get rid of me and not even trying to discuss the possible original cause of the mistake, or to find an adequate place for serving. The other lady was even rude both in the way and the terms she used when facing my initial consult. Is is really unfortunate that this Institution do not get responsibility for the service they offer, and even worst that they employ people that are not in a position of supporting the customer when there is a complain about a possible mistake they could be...
