Just reviewing the park and play area not including the baseball field or basketball hoops.
The park is of decent size and when we went, there were not a lot of people. (We came on a Tuesday evening at around 6 PM.) In that respect, it was good. There were probably 3 other families who had a kid or two. There is plenty of equipment for the kiddos to play on, but the only reason why I deducted a star is because the equipment is rather old and outdated. I think it definitely needs a facelift. Read moreWent on a Saturday and it was super packed. There was a toddler soccer class going on in the field and someone from the neighborhood was having a birthday party. Both tennis courts were occupied and we were the first in line for the basketball court, which is a half size court that has four hoops on it. That being said, the park was really cute (small) and a great place if you have a very young kids as the play structure would not keep an older kid occupied. Read moreI have spent many times at this park with my daughter. It’s smaller than other kid parks in the city buts perfect for us. No long waits to use anything on offer. It’s easy for parents to play with their kid or let them roam and watch from a bench. You can easily monitor your kid and how they interact with others.
There are no restrooms 🚽 so that can be a down side but it’s close to Rice Village, Rice University, and other places you could use a bathroom.
