Stude Concert Hall — Attraction in Houston

What a great place to listen to a concert! We attended a Shepherd School Symphony Orchestra concert here, and the acoustics were awesome. Of course, it helped that the Symphony Orchestra was awesome as well. Three fabulous pieces of music, very well conducted.

It really helped that the seats and the leg room are comfortable and generous. On a cool evening outside, the inside climate was just right ... not too hot and stuffy, not cold at all.

We look forward to more concerts...

Rice University's Shepherd School of Music is one of the finest in the country. The performance halls have excellent acoustics. And, the concerts are free of charge. The parking is not free, however. You will be amazed by how well the students play. ...

Seats are too close to the stage. Bathrooms are not easily accessed. Valet parking still leaves a long walk. I would sit on sides if I ever went again. No real benefit to being on front row as their is no leg room. Staff was...
