Meh. I don't see the alure, but one of my friends raves about it, so I decided to give it another try. Afterall, it had been at least 4 years since my last visit. The restaurant is one large room with a high ceiling and a large fan. They have a covered patio outside, inside regular seating (a few booths along the wall, but mostly table and chairs) and bar area seating (about 3 stools available). The bar area is also the walk-up ordering section, so it can get a little crowded. The service was fair and the food arrived fast for the crowd they had this particular day. I was not satisfied with my meal. I purposely ordered something "easy" so I wouldn't be disappointed (that didn't work well) and I was also very hungry; nothing worse than not enjoying your meal when you are seriously hungry. I figured a burger and fries would be satisfactory - not so much. The parmesan and rosemary fries arrived cold, the burger was charred on the edges, the lettuce was so large I had to tear it in half and I had to ask again for mayonnaise even though I specifically requested it when initially placing my order. I waited at the table for about 3 minutes then finally had to get up and ask another person since my server didn't return. That kind of nonsense really makes me upset. That's one of the reasons I don't like the multiple people service restaurants do these days. They are too busy and you lose consistency with runners taking the food to your table. I heard another table return their waffles because they arrived cold, so I know it wasn't just me. They do not have sweet tea, but they do have lemonade available. I mixed my tea with lemonade to made it sweeter. I will say the prices are pretty good. My meal was under $20.00 even after tipping 20% (yes, even with all of that, I still tipped 20%). There is literally nothing special about this place, in my opinion. I absolutely HATE giving lower than 4 starts. I take reviewing seriously and love to see good places thrive. I also don't like being disappointed in my meals, so there's that. If under 4 stars, then I must have truly not enjoyed it. It takes very little to make me happy with my experience, so that...

The food is disgusting. It taste like hospital cafeteria food or a frozen microwave dinner meal. I ordered the pecan crusted chicken, Brussels sprouts, and mashed potatoes. The chicken and potatoes had no flavor. The Brussels tasted sour like they had too much lemon juice or oil on them. The texture was fair though. The chicken was soggy like they prepared it earlier that day and microwaved it when I ordered it. It was advertised as crusted so I thought it would be crispy. Maybe it was baked?

Our server was mediocre. She was not rude but she definitely was not pleasant or welcoming. She was brief in her interactions and took a while to come back to our table to check on us even though the restaurant was not busy. When the server eventually came to check on us she asked if I needed a box and I told her no because I didn’t like my chicken. I had only eaten the potatoes and most of the Brussels because I was hungry. She asked if I would like to order something else and I said no. She didn’t offer to discount the meal or have a manager come to the table or anything. That isn’t a problem because I won’t be back so they don’t need to resolve the issue with me.

I gave my experience a two star rating because the restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere. We were sat immediately with no wait around 6:45 pm on a Tuesday. My boyfriend ordered chicken and waffles and he enjoyed his meal. I wish I had ordered that basic meal instead of trying...

My boyfriend and I just moved to area so we are looking to try out the local places. The atmosphere is very nice here. The service started off great. We ordered the cheese plate (5 out of 5) as our appetizer. One thing that was not-so-good, was the fact that they brought our food out less than 5 minutes after bringing out the appetizer so our food was just sitting there. Nothing to complain about I guess, just a bit rude on their part. I ordered the pesto pasta plate with chicken (5 out of 5), and my boyfriend ordered their special for that day which was the rib-eye with shaved brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. The shaved brussel sprouts were excellent (5 out of 5) and the mashed potatoes were ok, good but nothing to be impressed over (3 out 5). Now the rib-eye was not very good (1 out of 5). First of all they failed to mention it was completed doused in some sort of barbecue sauce. But even if you could get passed that, the steak was left with all the tendons in so much of it was impossible to chew. Well what took the cake, was at the end of our meal the manager came over to ask how our meal went, when she asked my boyfriend if he'd order the rib-eye again, he politely said no and provided a short reason why. Once this was said the whole mood changed with our service. Even our server was silent with us, not even a fake "thank you, have a good day" was said. Needless to say, that was our first and absolute last...
