We dine in here once a month and never really had any complaints before. Some of the staff is new and wasn't as kind and inviting as the original staff, but the food is always great. Today, my husband and I arrived and I wanted to go to the restroom. I opened the door to the women's restroom and someone immediately shut the door because they forgot to lock it. The woman proceeded to speak loudly on her cell phone, clearly not using the restroom. I asked another employee to find out what was going on because I needed to pee, and she informed me that it was a hostess. She told me that I could go ahead and use the men's restroom. I asked her just ask the hostess to exit the bathroom because I needed to use it. She reluctantly agreed and knocked on the door until the hostess finally came out - Looking very irritated. I asked to speak to a manager and the waiter said, "I can help you," and I informed him what happened. His response was, "that's OK." That was the end of it. The waiter, who did not seem to be a manager, was his usual non-hospitable self. I've been coming here for years and will not be...

I had the unfortunate experience of ordering takeout from Akiko Sushi— it was nothing short of a disaster. To start, the reception was cold and unfriendly. I stood waiting for my food, ignored by the staff as if I wasn’t even there. When I finally received my order, I was appalled.

The hibachi chicken was cold and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. To make matters worse, there was no fried rice included which I was charged extra for—what kind of Japanese restaurant doesn't serve fried rice with hibachi?

The entire experience felt like a complete afterthought. The food lacked any of the freshness or flavor I expect from hibachi, and the service was abysmal. Save your money and time—there are far better places to enjoy Japanese cuisine than this...

It was a nice and soothing atmosphere-very clean and organized with calming instrumental music playing in the background. We ordered the steamed edamame, foie gras chawanmushi, veggie tempura, wasabi tobiko, chirashi bowl, salmon skin salad, salmon skin hand roll, and caterpillar roll (mainly for my 5 year old).

We didn’t know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised with all the food, especially the salmon skin dishes! Skin was warm yet crispy. The veggie tempura was hot with the right amount of batter. The egg custard in the chawanmushi was smooth and hot but the foie gras was just done. I prefer mine a little under but that’s a personal preference.

The staff was very attentive with good attitudes. Would definitely...

The ingredients are super fresh, and some of the fish are the kind you’d usually only find at upscale Japanese restaurants. The sashimi is incredibly smooth, the wagyu beef and mussels are tender and full of flavor, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. Their Happy Premium Menu lets you try high-end dishes at a more budget-friendly price. The service is great, and the food came out really fast. Love this place!
