My family loves going to the zoo, but getting a parking spot is almost impossible. We had to park over a mile away to even get parked. The Houston Zoo still has a "scheduled entry time" as if they were still under COVID restrictions. Everything got so much more expensive since I last came, almost to the point where I don't ever want to return. I think about 3 hours in the Zoo costed roughly $300 in total. That may eliminate joy for some that may not be able to afford that, which is saddening. Things that I could see improving with the Houston Zoo: Build parking garages in place of the parking lots. Just close one section at a time and build elevated garages. This may very well help eliminate the parking crisis. Eliminate the scheduled times for entry. Things happen, and ordering a "Non-refundable" ticket is absolutely horrible, even if you can't find a spot. Lower the prices a little. I know overhead costs are to be considered, but with the amount of people I saw in there, it's almost like the animals are eating better than I do when I'm...

I had such a blast at the Houston Zoo; let’s just say I will definitely be returning for another visit soon! Going on a Friday morning wasn’t too bad. I got there as soon as they opened up and pretty much walked around for a few hours. This place has so much to see and definitely lots to do. So when you go for a visit you will definitely want to wear your walking shoes! There are also lots of interactive little stations for children. It’s really fun for the whole family! Oh and they have lots of snack stations/concession stand even little food trucks. Where you can get plenty of cold drinks and tasty treats. They even have a dine in area where you can sit down and grab a whole lunch. I had gotten burgers, fries and some tenders. Oh my the food was super fresh and so delicious I was definitely blown away! Oh and they also have plenty of bathrooms around every corner so you’re not having to run around looking for a restroom. Oh and they also have lots of sitting areas around the park; where you can sit for a bit and enjoy the...

The website needs to be updated. The interactive map is horrible. There was so much of the big animals habitats not available. There were more food trucks and restaurants than animals. When did this happen? So disappointing. Lots of workers just standing around doing nothing. There needs to more signs especially when needing to exit. I was very disappointed to say the least. This price fluctuations due to the day you chose to go was ridiculous. It was so expensive and not worth the money. We purchased one thing and that was $10 ice coffee. Lol There were ladders everywhere and areas not secured off for the area to be more safe for the public. There were even fake animals like the bald eagles. There's lots of walking and being lost the whole time. I didn't feel safe, as son as you exited there were homeless people. And in surrounding areas as you make it to your car in the parking lot. Again very disappointed. I won't spend my money there. I would rather go to a farm or...

I had an amazing time visiting the Houston Zoo! The zoo is beautifully designed and well-maintained, making it enjoyable for people of all ages. The wide variety of animals from elephants and gorillas to exotic birds and reptiles made the experience both fun and educational. I especially loved how close you can get to the animals while still knowing they are being well cared for in natural-looking habitats. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to answer questions, which added a lot to the visit. It's free for HCC students and some other university students, which makes it super affordable for college visitors to spend a fun and educational day here.
