I called in and scheduled a couples appointment for 12:30, with Customer rep. Lilly. I informed her that the appointments would be under my motherās membership account. During the scheduling, I was never informed of the membership policy guidelines.
Upon arriving for our appointments we were met by Lilly. On prior visits we were honored the opportunity to transfer massage credits from each others accounts for a massage visit. However, for verification reasons and to be proactive, I inquired about method of payment for myself, due to my inactive membership account, from being currently on active duty.
After asking this question, Lilly immediately took a condescending, non accommodating, distant, and indifferent demeanor. She physically backed away from the front desk and begin to exhibit an extremely rude and dismissive behavior. She began to exhibit a total condescending demeanor and disdain towards us. She also became very combative in her body language, after which she abruptly began assisting other customers, with a jovial demeanor, in the middle of our request for a resolution. After her display of unprofessionalism and disinterest, we requested to speak with the manager Mike several times. Lilly initially told us she didnāt think he was in. She then went back and forth with us regarding Mikeās availability. She told us we could speak to him initially, then after waiting for approximately 15-20 minutes, she ultimately told us he was unavailable, to address my motherās membership questions and concerns. Furthermore, Mike was refusing and fail to communicate and meet the needs of a tenured and paying customer with Massage Heights. Therefore, we were unsuccessful in how we could proceed with obtaining clarification on current and future contract terms. Lily was also dishonest by stating we could not contact Corporate.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo disappointing. Every time I check out of this location, I feel assaulted by the helpful folks behind the counter trying to upsell me an opportunity to save money by spending more. They sold me a three-month prepaid membership, āto save me some money.ā Brandi, the Manager, cancelled my three-month membership after only one month. I learned after my massage that I was no longer a āmemberā and, therefore, no longer eligible for member pricing. The helpful woman at the counter offered to sell me another membership, or a gift certificate, or some other overly complicated nonsense to save me money.
It seems that the folks at the counter are only authorized to upsell, collect more than is due, and refer all issues to the Manager, Brandi, āWho is not here right now. But I can have her contact you.ā
Mike, the Director, emailed me after several attempts to contact Brandi. Mike informed me that my membership had been cancelled in line with the store policy. Brandy was right to cancel it. I am wrong and I have no recourse.
All of this is so disappointing. It seems that Massage Heights at Washington Heights, Brandi, Mike, and all the helpful sirens at the front desk are more interested in upselling discounts rather than the ārelaxationā they claim to offer on their website. It also seems that the sirens may say things that management wonāt back up. Iām not buying any more. The real pity is that I would have gladly paid full price for each massage and left much happier with the experience than I am now.
Prepare yourself to be badgered into more than you want, but with a discount that management may, or may not, back up when you go to Massage Heights at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been going to massage heights for years. Every single time I go in they try to sell me a membership. I decline every time, but it gets annoying. Iāve had a membership before and lost hundreds of dollars, so I donāt want a membership again.
I booked an appointment online, they called me within ten mins to confirm and I donāt answer. They leave me a voicemail and text me saying I have to confirm within the next 50 minutes that I am okay with being charged the non member pricing (which I always get charged). If I donāt call them back and talk to them about non member pricing then they may cancel my appointment. This was at 8:30 at night. Mind you I gave them my credit card when booking the massage service and already was quoted for going in at non member pricing.
I called the next day and they cancelled my appointment. No openings the rest of the day.
Itās incredibly frustrating that I have to call back and get harassed about purchasing a membership in order to confirm my massage. They have my credit card on file and when booking the appointment I authorized the charge online. I have also booked several appointments before when doing a prenatal massage here, in which they have cancelled multiple times the day of because they didnāt have a āprenatal certified...
