I just had to walk out of Planet Fitness because the way that I was treated today by Clarence DANIEL THE (manager) was so unethical and very unprofessional and plainly very disgusting. i've NEVER had no issues at any other locations. I am a black card member I go to multiple locations and the way that I was talked to and I was treated like I was not a human being and the way that the manager blatantly disrespected me and did not allow me to speak to the manager. He threatened that he was going to cancel my membership. I told him he cannot do that that I was not arguing with him or being combative. He wanted me to leave when I had on some crocs. I was not working out on any machines. I was just doing crunches, and I was getting ready to go to the stairs when he stopped me and asked me to leave. I'm HIGLY upset that in the middle of my workout he GOT NASTY ATTITUDE and I told him if I can just please finish doing what I was doing and then I was gonna leave and he said no, and he was gonna cancel my membership. I really need this"manager" C. DANIEL FIRED IMMEDIATELY or removed from this location because the way that I was threatened time after TIME! I was not being combative. I was not yelling. He was yelling at me. I have videos and I am super upset. He refused to give me corporate information. He refused to give me his manager's information. He said he's not giving it to me and he doesn't have to, and also threaten me AGAIN to call the cops. He even called another Planet Fitness in front of me just to talk about me and they sat there and went back AND fourth like he was trying to get my membership cancelled!!!!!! and he said that he could not cancel my membership because I'm not a member (which I already knew that). It was totally disrespectful and again I don't know who employed this guy to work here. Obviously he doesn't have a background and much customer service or professionalism because the way that I was blatantly disrespected time after time about some shoes that I had on that were closed and I was not on any machines and I also was working out 30-35 min prior o that It's very disappointing. Read moreI tried asking for the customer service number or even corporate they said it was not available because this one is owned individually. So I said ok allow me to speak to the owners. And the GM manager thomas said that I would never talk to them. I won’t come on here and put someone’s name up except for the GM Manager Mr. Thomas because he said he was the manager. And he was the only rectification for the staff. I and my husband signed up last Friday May 24th before 2pm. And my experience was going over how much it cost when I would have to pay. We have black card access and can have a guest. So I come Sunday with my daughter who is 13 And had to wait almost an hour before I could workout because she had to have identification which we did not have because she is a minor with no ID and no one phone number. I had to prob this young man on what we could have instead he allowed me to leave with a negative experience and I had to call back to see if I could have a report card and a school bus tag and he was on the line with his manager I guess it was Thomas since he said he was the GM see what the proper protocol was but he allowed me to leave in that way. I also came with my jug of water and no issues there. Came today and the one who enrolled I and my husband states to me that I can’t have my jug of water or my backpack. If there is a camera system there you could see I had my jug and another woman had her gym bag. I walked to the gym this morning WALKED!!!!! If she had explained from jump then I would have planned accordingly. Mr Thomas was not there on that day but it was another gentleman. The point is:
Same gym rules and regulations across the whole staff Basic customer services for crying out loud.
The only thing the gym manager could offer was for me to come back and he would go over rules and regulations with me. The women who enrolled us was very nonchalant and this is only the first week. Not apologetic and all I received was disdain. This gym is down the street from my house with more equipment options. Read moreWent and worked out no issues. Only problem I had is when I went to use the hydro massage bed and tanning bed. That's when the girl behind the counter got an attitude. She didn't want to give me a hydro massage bed and if I wanted to use the bed that I was going to have to wait (which was fine with me) because they only have 2 beds that work but then the manager turns around and says the massage bed is fixed. LOL. Walked into the room and it smelled so BAD. Then when I get done with my massage I go back up to the front to get a stand up tanning bed the girl goes to ask me if I have goggles to use the tanning beds and I respond to her telling her that Planet Fitness provides the eye stickers at any other facility why not this facility. She tells me that this facility is a franchise and they dont carry the eye stickers anymore. She then proceeds to search for the stickers (that they no longer carry) and hands me 1 and tells me next time you need to bring your own goggles or buy some. I'm shocked by her tone and her demeanor and such poor customer service skills that waited to speak to the manager and he tells me that in fact they do carry the stickers it's just their shipment hasn't came in yet. WOW. So in fact they do carry them. I went to walk in the tanning bed and seen that the machine is extremely DIRTY. I had to clean it myself. Ridiculous.... After tanning I went to the ladys locker room and it was dirty as well. Definitely wont be returning to this Planet Fitness. When I go to the my main Planet Fitness facility there is ALWAYS someone cleaning. You would think that because they work in a GYM where they probably see hundreds of people that go to SWEAT and WORKOUT they would WANT to keep their facility CLEAN and SANTATIZED!!
