Twice now I have booked a service here and they claimed that the service wasn't booked. They claim they need proof of purchase for the gift card before they can perform the service. If you are able to get a service, it's a wonderful treatment and great value, but they need to update their website or something. This ruined my mom's mother's day!
Edit in response to owner:
Originally we were told there was no appointment under her or my name- they told my mom this when she was physically at the location and when I got a chance to call (because I was at work with my own client- I am an esthetician so I understand how booking appointments work) the same message was relayed to me. Then I was told that they see the appointment and that I left in the notes that I purchased a gift certificate. They refused to start my mom's appointment until she showed proof that she had a gift certificate. If I hadn't mentioned that I purchased a gift certificate, would they have her prove that she could pay before her service started? No. How do I know this? I've been to this spa twice before and did not have to prove anything before my appointment started. That's my complaint. If they saw the appointment, why not start her appointment? You don't pay for the service before you receive the service. Yes I did ask them to cancel the service and refund the gift certificate because that's what happens when you try to get money out of someone before the service is provided- coming from another service provider. My expectations are not unreasonable. Again, this is the second time I've scheduled an appointment for someone and they made receiving the service difficult. It's very unfortunate because I got 2 amazing massages from Thai Wellness and I've recommended this place to friends, family, and...
Read moreI don’t know why there are so many 5 star reviews. My experience was very interesting and not as relaxing as other spas. Yes, the place was clean and smelt amazing, but the therapists I had lacked precision and didn’t fully address what I came in for. I had to ask SO many times to please address my upper back and neck. Even then, then would skim over the shoulder area and just start working down the back. They incorporated Swedish techniques when I repeatedly said I wanted deep tissue. The first lady I had laughed at me when my body jumped because I was burned by the stone. She thought she had applied too much pressure or something. Like no, you literally placed these stones right next to my arm and then preceeded to press down to massage my arm once it hit the stone. Not a fun experience. So, I had her switched out mid way for someone else but it was still just very sub par then other places I’ve gone too. Overpriced and under delivered, and yes I ended up paying full price even though I wasn’t happy with my massage. As a licensed massage therapist myself there is nothing worse then feeling like you got an incomplete massage. I didn’t even add the fact that they pushed up my appt 15 min without consulting with me first?? Like yeah, I arrived early, but I was on a zoom for school hence why I booked it for 7:30 not 7:15. Very strange to feel like you are being rushed into your appt. They should’ve asked if I wanted to start early and not...
Read moreThis place is 10/10!!! I am SO picky and usually never satisfied after my massages. And there’s not much I can say negatively about this spot.
We’re usually in Bellaire when we get Thai massages because the prices are so good there. We got a 1 hour couples massage for $85. Considering that it’s not too far from us (medical center) $85 is a steal, especially for the experience you get.
They have you fill out a questionnaire asking what kind of massage you want, firmness, stretching?, hot stones?, a little medical history, and you circle which areas on your body you want them to focus on.
I used the bathroom before heading in the room and their bathrooms are CLEAN.
“You want stretch?” Ooo, yes. “You want me to walk on your back?” YES. “You want Tiger Balm?” YES!!
That Tiger Balm all over my body made me feel like a buttered potato. Hot stones + Tiger Balm? Extraordinary.
Joy was my masseuse and she bent me in all the right places. She had me folded like a pretzel and it felt so good!! She had me turn on my back, put a heated neck roll under my neck, a warm moist washcloth over my eyes, and a wet peppermint sprayed washcloth on my chest and over my forehead. My airways opened up and felt so refreshing.
Anyways, this place is amazing. This will be our new massage spot hands down. They also speak a good amount of English and won’t have you...
