I have been a very loyal customer at this place since the day it has been open :-)! I love Home Depot because of their plants a variety for gardening & potting soil & the prices & everything that they have to sell this place is very useful they have a huge free parking lot & plenty of handicapped parking lot to park at and a nice big restroom to use :-)! I love it that they could give you a credit card to charge to buy anything or huge things for your children & yourself :-)! They have beautiful selections of lamps & Chandelier :-)! I had a very bad experience at this place I tried to get white man & lady & black man looking straight at me & did not respond to me when I told them I needed some help it was the worst service I was very disappointed they were fighting over each other is white man & woman who would take care of me & they both decided not to take care of me I sat there watching them for 15 minutes & all they did is looking at me & talking together chatting I needed help to carry this huge vacuum cleaner my back start hurting me & I need help to put it in my grocery cart at the end I got tired of waiting so no matter how painful my back was I tried to lift it up & put it in the grocery cart I need a copy of three keys that my son lost to our home & a keyholder so he will not lose his keys for the third time very frustrating to find someone to help me twice already :-(! I hope that the manager will give these people a warning of not being fired for not doing the job this white man had a beard & is medium built size the age looks like late 50s & there's white lady has blonde hair down to her shoulder & just black man that looks straight at me that works in the lumber where the wood Department is located is where he ignoring me completely even though he does hears me & look straight into my eyes :-(! The service is rotten but it is a great store to shop with cheap and great items to buy :-)! If you get hungry around the Corner they build a Chick-fil-A restaurant to enjoy their sandwiches & milkshake :-)! It does get scary because I had one bad experience all these Hispanic men came to my car & trying to get inside of my car I hired 2 of them & one of them had the audacity & balls to steal cash money in front of my eyes sitting in my car while I'm driving after the job has been done after hiring them to help me lift all the extremely heavy furniture that I donated for the Elementary school which they end up breaking them I believe of helping people but I don't believe that's they should been stealing & breaking furnitures:-(! There is a reason why because there is a park close by Home Depot & I got my purse stolen & I know it is a Hispanic man because I saw him watching me for quite a long time:-(! Besides that even though all this happen of not having great service at Home Depot I still love shopping here & I hope that you all will too they just need to retrain the employees or hire somebody much better that's willing to work :-)! :-(! I just love the choices you can choose from frigerator flooring curtains carpet I do admit that they do need to reduce some prices when it comes to cleaning items & laundry but I am so glad they sell hangers & variety of light bulbs & barbecue pits & machine tools & paints a variety of selection of colors & what's even better a huge cart or a grocery cart to put your items in & great low price sales which is sometimes would have & a huge selection of Christmas items & decorations & preparations of hurricanes & flooding & patio sets & glues & equipment this place is that huge place to shop at but I wish there are more experience employees that know the products or how to do & built things or have an expertise that could come to your home & do it for you Etc & more cashiers & happier employees who enjoy to take care of customers especially & needs guidance & help & be more experience so we don't have to wait forever:-( :-)! If we have all this this would be a great place to shop at with safety & savings & helpful & experienced employees & happier & grateful shopping...

Today I was picking up a ‘ship to store’ order at the Hillcroft Home Depot. I had ordered 4 blinds for my house and received an e-mail stating my order was ready for pick up. I arrived at about 6:30 pm and waited in line. By 6:45 pm I had learned that only half of my order could be located. A little annoyed that my full order could not be located I thought I would at least take care of getting the 2 blinds that were present and headed to the back of the store to get them cut to size. I proceeded to the section of the store where they cut the blinds and waited 20-30 minutes asking other associates to call someone to help. After waiting another 15-20 minutes I called the store twice on my phone from the aisle asking for assistance.

Still no help at 7:40 pm and I called a third time asking to speak to Manny, the manager on duty. I had previously asked that the manager come to the area and this time I was told he was right there at customer service but he never came to the phone or the area of the store I had been waiting. I finally walked to customer service about 5 or 10 minutes later and found Manny on a cell phone.

I ultimately explained that I had been waiting over an hour for assistance now and asked if he or any other team members were able to cut my blinds. He more or less ignored me and tried to shoo me away and said I would have to wait. He finally said I needed to go back to the back for help with getting my blinds cut. He then walked to the opposite side of the store and away from me. I went back and waited another 5-10 minutes and was greeted by Jose. Jose had been at lunch and was just able to come to assist me and he was very courteous. I asked if he was in deed the only person able to use the saw to cut the blinds. His reply... Yes.

Now that my blinds were cut I was still facing the dilemma of the 2 missing blinds. I returned to customer service. I was now the only customer in the building. I ask Maria if she was able to locate my blinds and she confirmed, with Manny present, that they were delivered and received into the store but they were not able to locate them. Manny then explained that they would just have to get ordered again.

At that time I asked who was expected to re-order them, to which he informed me that I needed to order them myself. I’m now deeply disturbed since the order was initially placed on July 20th and it was a week later. I was only then that informed that they would be issuing a refund to place the order again. The young lady offered to order them for me in spite of her mangers response.

I have never witnessed such poor managerial skills. During my visit I waited, as did several others, for any help in the flooring area of the store. I heard for myself no less than about 8 announcements on the PA system to alert that help was needed by numerous shoppers. Never once did Manny physically check to assess if any of us could be helped by other team members or himself. Although, by his (Manny) assertion and admission he didn’t even know how to cut the blinds or use the machine.

Never know if the store potentially lost a number of sales during this time period. However, I do have an idea, since I was there for over an hour talking with other equally frustrated customers. Lady wanting to purchase vinyl flooring to redo the floors in her home and this was her 4th stop and ready to buy... Ladies needed help with other flooring/tile, we didn’t talk much more than asking if there was anyone to help. Gentlemen looking for a deep freezer... He was handicap in a wheelchair with another person pushing an empty flat to load the appliance. Pretty safe to assume they were there for a purchase. Lady and daughter wanted to purchase and have blinds cut. She was told at 7:20 pm that she should come again in the morning when they open at 8 am. She stayed until 8 pm. Never helped.

Not to mention several other shoppers in and out of the area, maybe browsing, maybe not... Never know. By far my worst Home Depot shopping experience. And I still don’t have all of what...

I have been a frequent shopper at The Home Depot on the North side of Sam Houston Pkwy for the better part of a year now. I have never spoken to anyone when i am there, i know anything about home improvement, i do my research and buy what i need. Recently i've had to return repeatedly, having issues maintaining steady power to a power bank i recently purchased from them. i normally stay to the side and to myself. I am very aware of rules and i'm aware home depot has people asking for jobs; however i am not one of those people. And i've never approached people. In fact people approach me and i am very forthcoming in saying i don't need a job and am not looking for one. It has been this way for a few weeks. I show up every few days. Today i was approached by a woman who says she is asset protection asking what im doing, i tell her plainly i am charging a device and she says i cannot stay out here long, i do understand what she is saying and tell her i only need around an hour to charge my device and ive never been out here for extended periods. I also point out the item is one i purchased from their exact store, which cost one thousand dollars originally. The woman says she understands and after more words tells me im not actually allowed to charge my device here she is only being nice, but then also says everyone else charges their devices in parking lot and its fine. I don't understand what she means now but she tells me if i continue to argue she will call the police and she walks off. I have spent over a thousand dollars at this store within the past few weeks, i have never harassed their customers, and this is how i was treated. I don't know if it was just how they do things but I've been here multiple other days(i even spoke with their security one day and told him my reason as well) and they have never reacted this way, and she states she has seen me before purchase items so she is familiar with me. Yikes...

Update: I wrote this report and did not submit it because i did not want any issues while charging my device, while charging my device an officer arrives and the process begins. He tells me the manager has told me to leave and says i cannot charge my device here. As you have read my earlier story you see this is not the exact case but i do not argue with the officer. I comply and find the fastest way off their property. Again i have never had an issue at this establishment until i actually needed it to act as a respective neighbor in the community....

The store is NOT MAINTAINED, ORGANIZED, and the staff is NOT VERY FRIENDLY, NOR HELPFUL! I only go to this store, as it is closest to my home, but, I’d rather drive several miles in opposite direction to a different store that isn’t as bad as this one. The plumbing Dept is a MESS, TERRIBLY DISORGANIZED AND STOCKED! The section that’s supposed to stock water supply lines for water heaters was so disorganized and trashed, that it took me almost an hour trying to dig through the piles of merchandise to find what I needed! Many of the items were completely out of stock! This is BEYOND ACCEPTABLE! I’m a STOCKHOLDER, snd have been for many years, however, Home Depot has DRASTICALLY gone DOWNHILL, and MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO FIX THESE ISSUES, OR BE REMOVED AND REPLACED!
