The Vintage Apartments — Attraction in Houston

Worst complex I’ve ever had the displeasure of giving my hard earned money to. I’ve only lived here for three weeks and I am already looking for another complex to move to. When I signed my lease I was only given one key. I have a two bedroom and I would expect two keys. I didn’t even receive a mailbox key. I had to chase them down for a week just for it. Moved in and completed inventory sheet and turned it in. Nothing from that list has been completed. In one of my rooms, the blinds are not attached to anything, no screws or nails just nothing. My daughter was sitting against the wall when it came crashing down and hit her in her head. Called office and he promised someone would come and fix since it’s a safety issue. No one ever came. Here’s the straw that broke the camels back. When standing outside one week two of living here, I notice a huge rat coming from under my window. For the days leading up to this day, I noticed every time I walked outside more and more wood pieces under that window. Well I notified the office spoke to both of the men in the office about it on several different occasions with the promise that someone would come and see what they can do and patch up whatever hole. NO ONE EVER CAME! Always promise to walk back here to my apartment but never do. But can walk around on the 4th with a late rent notice. Also, since electricity is billed with the other utilities, to charge people the amount they say they do for it is ridiculous! I have literally three sources of lights in my whole apartment! There’s no way with a legitimate electric company would my bill be close to $150. It’s sad that all of these issues for the hefty price of $1100 plus utilities. I will not be here long.

Update… Today at 6pm the lights in my apartment just cut off. I called the emergency maintenance line 4 times and still no response. Answering service called back twice stating that the phone numbers they have for them are going straight to voicemail and they can not get in touch with anyone. It is now 10 pm. Worst decision ever...

DO NOT MOVE HERE. they don't even deserve star. 2015 place was perfect, 2016 and on it's a wreck. they have a rat infestation and all they say is "it's because the construction" i had a one year old living there and they did not care at all. i had to get rid of my couches because of rats were living in them. They ate up all my clothes and shoes. When i would call for help to the apartments you would see their employees standing by the maintenance room on their phone laughing doing NOTHING. this rat infestation is still going on i have family and friends that live there and they are still trying to kill them. I had a leak in my roof for 3 weeks and they never fixed it, we went out of town and left a bucket to hold the water and came back to the bathroom completely flooded. Logan never knows anything all she knows to say is "Susan literally just left ill tell her to give you a call" 2 months later and "susan" has yet to call me. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE place, $900 for a rat infested apartment you can live in a luxury home for that price and more. After the rat ate up our carpet they charged us $125 for cleaning it, they didn't return nothing from our deposit. People were trespassing "private property" and they broke one of my cars windshield and back glass, and then came back and slashed both of my car's tires and all they said "get an alarm system for your car". no security at all. Take your money and spend somewhere worth your life. my husband was locked out the apartment he asked one of the maintenance people if they could open it and of course they did WITHOUT telling my husband there was a $10 charge. Onyxx would have never done that but the rest are just like the rest of the people in the office, always look for a way to take people money. for what? they don't even know how to...

ZERO STARS!!! I hate that all the outlets are loose. I hate that you can't use your vacuum cleaner or anything else without your lights flickering like a horror movie or going dim to the point of, I can't see anything at all. For some reason the employees do not last, every couple of months expect to see someone new. Pool was closed for 2 summers straight because they refused to clean it. They clean it just enough to not to be fined by the city. No hot water in the bathroom sinks(specific to my apt.) Low hot water pressure in the kitchen. Most of the neighbors smoke weed either right in your doorway or where the smell comes into your apt. Expect some neighbors to stay up all night on the weekends and you can wake up to a refreshing view of tons of beer cans on the grass or walk way the next day. Another thing I enjoy is having to watch my every step because no one picks up after their dog. So be prepared to step in doggy doo doo quite often. Oh but wait there's more, let's not forget the outrageous surprise charges that just magically appear usually around the end of the year. $200 facility fee that's not part of the lease and backdated to July 6 months later. Or my favorite is when they add a second light and water bill in addition to what you're already paying because they seemed to have undercharged all of the residents for 3 months straight. These tacky, old, barren, broken down, stink pit apts aren't worth 1k a month much less the 2100 ppl are paying now because of hidden fees. Complete and utter greed. #FRAUDS

1 more very important detail, please expect your car to be broken into at least once. Nothing like waking up to a smashed driver window, glass all....
