I had a very, negative experience recently with this Post Office location! It wasn't the place, itself that I take issue with but the non-professional, indifferent attitude that staff had, concerning my package NOT being delivered to ME. Technically, yes it was delivered to my residence, as shown by their records and those that I kept with the email updates. However, the final part of the delivery timeline showed that they, USPS and from THIS (Emnora) location delivered my package to my residence (apt. complex) "in/at (my) mailbox." Uh, no? As soon as I got the email update from them, I checked my mailbox THAT day and it wasn't there. Gave them the benefit of a doubt, allowing for a delay in delivery which, of course happens. However, they were adamant that my package was delivered by the mail carrier on my route, as it had been scanned for confirmation.
Well, if the Emnora PO was telling the truth, then the carrier clearly, put it in SOMEONE else's mailbox. And that dishonest person stole my package! While I can't blame the Emnora location for the actual theft, they're still at fault with their carrier failing to check that my package was being put in the WRONG mailbox and setting the stage for a potential theft which must've occurred. And to top it all off, the staff's response in person was basically, "so sad, too bad." They gave me no assurance that there would be a follow-up of any kind or that I could be reimbursed, somehow. I walked away, feeling very dejected.
Just today, I tried filing an official complaint on the USPS site but reached an impasse as the 6 preset choices for suspected "theft" didn't apply to my situation at all. Arrrgh! So, I never got my package (rampant theft in my apt. complex) and I'm out almost $50 because of negligence by the carrier!
(Update: I did successfully file an audit against this location on the U.S. Office of Inspector General site today!)
In conclusion, this was MY experience - an isolated case and NOT the typical process for others, to be fair. Even so, beware of THIS location! It totally seems that they have no qualms "passing the buck," protecting their employees backs (even if in error) if it's advantageous to them. Hmm it's no wonder that I see a 1.7 customer service rating for...
Read moreTruly wish I could provide Nancy Silva SPECIFICALLY with ZERO STARS. I put in a request to investigate the status of my package as when I tracked it, it stated it was out for delivery on 2/27 and it was already 2/28. At this point I was extremely nervous and concerned thinking my package was stolen. I then received an email from Nancy Silva, Rural Carrier stating the issue has been resolved and To pick up my package at 4206 Little York Road Location in Houston, TX as my package was on hold there and she instructed me to pick it up. To my disappointment, I drove 30 minutes to this location on Saturday, 2/29 in the morning just to be informed by Chavez, employee at this location, that my package was not in the facility and may have possibly been mailed back. This made me infuriated and upset as I was already instructed to come to this location to pick up my package, which should have been nothing short of a simple task. Chavez was not even sure if my package was mailed back just yet, which worried me even more than before. I then called Nancy Silva today to find out who she spoke with regarding my package, she stated she spoke with “someone” at the Little York Rd location but “did not remember the name” and “she sent me an email and the person she spoke with called me.” I never received a phone call, and I cannot help but question whether she even took the liberty of communicating with anyone from that location and just emailed me assuming everything would be taken care of. She was extremely careless over the phone, showed no sympathy and was not the least bit apologetic for her error. She was very unprofessional and as I expressed my frustration of my package all she could say was “can I help you with anything else ma’am” Nancy handled this matter with pure negligence , and did not even try to find a way to assist me with getting my package back. Not only did I pay for the items in my package, I paid for shipping as well in which I do not feel is fair for me to pay a second time. Nancys negligence needs to be addressed...
Read moreLISTEN TO ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS POSTED ABOUT THIS PLACE! There is a reason they have almost 200 reviews at only 1 star! While I am sure a few employees are courteous, the ones that aren't outshine and give this USPS location a terrible reputation.
Here is a quick list of the negative interactions I've had over the past year of (unfortunately) having to use this as my neighborhood post office.
I have had several missing packages that were delivered to our neighborhood's parcel lockers. The courier didn't leave the keys so my packages were stuck in the locker for a month while the incompetent people here tried to figure out what happened. Like everyone else has said, the people are slow and don't care if things get fixed.
One of the coworkers called another corworker "lazy" in front of the whole area as she was redirecting a customer to that individual.
As I was trying to ask the clerk a question, she ignored everything I said and preceded to make me feel like an idiot. Then, she was talking to her coworker about me negatively as I walked away.
Be prepared to be rushed through your purchase just so they can get through the long lines. Instead of educating you on the best option for mailing your package, they treat you like you have no knowledge at all and don't help you learn. Its awful to see the blatant discrimination against all different types of people including but not limited to those who don't speak English.
If your problem requires any intellectual thought or higher level thinking, your problem will never be solved just passed on from person to person until you get so frustrated you...
