Maria Guillery is a staff member of the rental & electric assistance program here. For assistance, clients must call this line several times, for days, to get an appointment. I'm an amputee & use a wheelchair. I was elated to finally have someone answer the phone for an appointment. A Ms. Jackie scheduled my appointment. She stated that it's required to show up in person to my appointment for help. I then called another number at Wheeler to see if I could have my appointment virtually, as I require a wheelchair lift vehicle for transportation. I don't yet have MetroLift.
Maria called me back & proceeded w the interview. However, when she asked me pertinent questions and when I tried to answer, she quickly cut me off each time. Maybe she was moody because I went above her to get the virtual appt due to my disability. Idk. However, the entire interview, she seemed displeased with my responses and said that she didn't have time to hear my answers. She gave me the documents that I needed to send by email. For some weird reason, Maria wanted me to use a computer to email her the documents. I am handicapped, don't have access to any computer, and my cellphone works perfectly for emails. Her tone was quite irritated and she disconnected from the call after saying that she has other clients to attend to. I then emailed her the required documents she's requested. I called and emailed her the next day for a follow-up. She finally called me back this morning telling me that I was disqualified from assistance and not to call back for another appointment ever again and promptly disconnected without allowing me to ask any questions.
I THEN received a call from MY case worker at another agency stating that I "threatened to sue" and that I had called numerous times. My case worker also said that Maria AND the pastor of Wheeler doesn't want me calling the church ever again. I'm so confused as to when I "threatened to sue" anyone and WHY I'd say such. I'm also blown away as to why a CHURCH PASTOR would decree me not to EVER call them again. I ONLY spoke with Maria G, a Ms. Jackie, and a woman in the administration section.
Maria Guillery acted extremely unprofessional and in a manner that GOD wouldn't be pleased with, each time that I spoke with her. I'm guessing that this is just the way she behaves in general and I'm warning anyone else who may reach out to this agency for assistance....
Read moreI been searching for a church for 10 years and finally found one that teaches truth from the Bible to things in our culture we're going through presently and physically do something about it.
You have to come an hour early to get a seat.
I love that it is a 5 fold ministry. So many churches eliminate Acts 2:4. I love that it's Also a Psalm 150 church. Some churches are so dead. Worship with instruments and singing is dead, don't allow tambourines or praise dance. Wheeler welcomes all of worship the Bible approves of and endorses. It's packed so it's not much room to do so but no 1 will think you're weird or crazy if the spirit moves you to praise God in the form of dance.
I will only go to a church my son approves of too. And my 9 yr old did after 2 visits. We had to get him in the right grade.
The only reason they don't get 5 stars from me is because I reached our to 2 members asking them to point me in the direction of who I needed to talk to for spiritual support after getting news my sons dad died? No answer.
I downloaded app set up profile and asked for help and support selected option to send it to staff. No answer.
I physically went to the church and asked people sitting in pews around me what do I do where can I get help? Lady in front of me said she was over singles ministry and took me to a deacon who took my info in his phone and sent it somewhere I guess.
He said "hopefully you'll hear from someone" Thats was 3 weeks ago. I heard nothing from no one.
Very disappointing. I also signed up for new members class which happed the same weekend as the funeral. I replied to the email explaining I had to burry my sons Dad and needed another opportunity for new members class.
I got no answer. That was 3 weeks ago.
There's a huge disconnect and it needs to be fixed. There's no telling how many souls left broken due to this. I'm a PK so I don't run off easily. I'd rather be the solution to a ministry like this so no one will go through what I went through.
Welp it's still dark outside and I'm going to wake my son so we can go to Wheeler and get a good parking spot.
See...
Read moreI recently visited this church and was very excited to attend until I arrived and was greeted by Deacon White! (Female representative). I took my time to come a day early to find out how long it would take me to get into the church and I was advised by a church member that was on the church grounds on Saturday to come by 6am. So I arrived at 545am and there were cars in the parking lot with people sitting in them. So I proceeded to walk to the front door to wait inside the building. To my surprise there were people waiting in the lobby. There were no seats so I went to stand along the wall and wait until the doors to the sanctuary was. Ms. White came up to me and said that she was informed that we were not following the rules to get into the church. She stated that people had been in line since 430 am and that they had first selection to the seats! And that she had no control over the crowd when they open the doors. I had no idea that we had to take a number to get into the church. Never the less I advised Ms. White that this information should be posted on the website and that I did my research as to what to expect when I arrive. I also explained that if I had known that I would have needed a ticket number to get into the church I would have not come. All in all the church was very nice ethe choir and the band was amazing and the pastor gave a great message, but this church needs to learn how to approach new comers and not make them feel like an outcast. I was told that whole morning from four different members that “YOU MUST BE NEW” why because I was not standing on the carpet behind the members that was hogging the seats to be on CAMERA!!! Will not be attending in person service as I will get MY seat in my own living room on my 85 inch tv. I don’t have to worry about getting up Three hours early to be harassed by a Deacon! So my advise is make sure if you attend this church stand behind the line or stay in your car...
