Extremely disappointed with Deerbrook Mall right now. I took my 9 year old son and one of his friends to see a movie there on 07/08/23, and upon entering the mall, we discovered that the stairway to the second level was closed for maintenance. I'm disabled and have trouble walking. I inquired with one of the workers on the stairway as to how we could access the second floor, and he instructed us to proceed down to the end of the mall and take the elevator up to the second floor, pointing us towards the elevator. Note that there are 2 sides to the stairway, and rather than closing one side at a time to allow people access to the other side, maintenance chose to close off both sides at the same time. Upon walking the distance down to the elevator, we find a sign in front of the elevator that it is out of order. Left with no other option, we then have to walk through the length of the mall to the other end to access the stairs down there. By then I am in a great deal of pain from all of the unnecessary walking that I had to do due to the instructions of the mall staff. Then to top it all off, when we finally get to the theater, check in, pick up our tickets and prepare to enter the theater for the movie, we are told that the theater that our movie is showing in has no air conditioning, the ac unit is broken and it is very hot, so we can either bear with the heat or be refunded for our tickets. We chose the refund, but AMC only gave me the actual face value of the tickets, and would not refund the processing fees that they charged me for purchasing the tickets through the AMC website, an approximate $7.00 additional.
This was a totally wasted trip at the cost of a whole lot of unnecessary pain and inconvenience due to the misdirections of the mall staff, and the inconvenience from AMC theater at the mall over their air conditioning issues and only partial refund when their own staff suggested the refund to me because of their theater issues, and neglecting to mention anything about the ac issue when I had called them right before entering the mall to find out about their process for picking up the tickets, and giving them the movie name and time that we...
Read moreI just left this mall. And had the worst customer service experience ever at forever 21. The current night shift manager and their cashiers were extremely rude. All I asked from the cashier is to let me the prices after the discounted total given that I had came before and reading the signs posted weren’t the same as what it was ringing up. The cashier kept telling me read is on the sign and after telling her 3 times the experience I had days prior to coming with the price tags she kept telling me that it’s going to be what it says there. It wasn’t hard job to just scan it and tell me what the price that was ringing up was, but she continue to slam items from left and right. The last item she rang up I told her just tell me you don’t want to do your job and that’s it and she proceeded it with well you’re not reading even after I kept telling her those are wrong sometimes. And she came at me rude and so I called her manager over and the manager didn’t do crap and said the same thing “it’s on the sign” then I explained to her what was going and she told her cashier “go ahead and scan it then” and the cashier after she processed my transaction slammed my bag to the counter as she was handing it to me. I gave it back to her and told her to do it again and do it right this time and she slammed it harder and so I gave it back and she threw it to the side counter. And I called the manager again and the manager said I was the one being disruptive even though her cashier didn’t want to do her job as a customer service representative in the first place. Then another cashier comes out of no where insulting me and yet the manager proceed with saying I was the disruptive one. What a worst manager and cashiers. I hope deerbrook takes note of this and doesn’t employ any of the cashiers (cashier KELLEY) or manager working this night on...
Read moreThis place is very nice, you can take friends and family to this mall,it's very spacious and big,but it's a huge time and money consumer you can easily spend 200 dollars in one store whether that's the price or the quantity and easily stay there for hours {if with the right people}. My favorite part about the mall is that they have escalators I know most do, but it personally makes my day going up them. There are also a bunch of little restaurants in the "cafeteria" one might call with many options from meat to vegan. And for the weebs {like myself...} there are multiple stores the sell anime merch and stores that are for animes like jojo's bizarre adventures, demon slayer, my dress up darling, blue Exorcist ,i believe I even saw rent a girlfriend merch but there is sooo much more, also there a large variety of cheaper stores in the mall if you not looking to spend a lot of money or if it's something small like the store miss A {were everything is in a range of dollar or two depending on what it is}, forever 21 {were there's always sells}, the food court and more. All in all this is a lovely place to just spend time at I go there a lot 10/10 would...
