We came for a Valentine's day date because I had been to the restaurant previously and had an enjoyable experience. However, I did not know that the restaurant was recently sold and now it is a different owner.
We came right at 5 pm, and the restaurant was completely empty. We spoke to the hostess and had a few questions about the hibachi, and she said she didn't know the answers to our questions. This was just the beginning of the incompetence. After being seated at the hibachi table, it took over 45 minutes until our soups and salads came out. During this time, more than 4 different servers came at different points to take our orders. We had already ordered, but more servers kept coming over and over to verify what we had ordered. It was incredibly strange and bothersome.
None of the employees seemed to know what they were doing. It's like the entire place is run by 16 year olds. Every single person on the wait staff I interacted with was acting like it was their first day on the job and they didn't know anything. It took 30+ minutes to receive the cocktail that I ordered. It was so long that I thought they had forgotten about it, but it showed up midway through finishing my meal. I also had a soda, and it was impossible to get refills as the servers NEVER returned to the table after delivering the drinks. My boyfriend had to go walk to the host stand and ask them to bring our table drink refills. Someone else's child at our hibachi table spilled a soda all over the place and it took over 30 minutes for any wait staff to come back near our table to help clean it up. If any staff were even walking through the hibachi area, we would've stopped them to notify about the spill, but for over 30 minutes nobody came by at all and eventually the parents got up to go find someone to help. Why on earth was a table not attended to by the waiters for over 30 minutes? Anyone who has worked in the restaurant business knows that this is unacceptable.
The actual food was fine. I loved the dressing on the salad. Our hibachi chef was very kind as well, it seems to be only the wait staff that has serious issues.
For a $90 dinner, this is absolutely unacceptable restaurant management. I have never had such a bad service experience at such an expensive restaurant. I will not be returning. I am disappointed as I used to love this restaurant, but clearly the new owners are doing a bad job. If you are thinking of trying this place, save your time and money...

Read moreThis was definitely the weirdest and most humiliating experience I've ever had dining out. I went in for the AYCE sushi lunch this past Saturday. I was out running errands by myself and was so happy I found this place because I love sushi! When I walked in, the hostess was very welcoming and asked if I wanted to sit at the bar since I was by myself or if I would prefer a table. they weren't very busy so I asked for a table because I wanted to sit back and relax since I had been out on my feet for a while. My waiter came up to my table after a few minutes of me waiting and at first he was fine, apologized for the wait and got me my drink. I had questions about the sushi but he didn't seem to know much about the menu and would mostly giggle while talking, odd but I ignored it. Here's where it got humiliating and uncomfortable. While waiting for my first order of sushi, my waiter walked around the table a few times, awkwardly looking at me and giggling until he finally came over to ask me if "I was okay", I replied that I was perfectly fine, he then said that I "look so bored" a couple times, and I repeated I was fine and just waiting for my food. This whole time I'm smiling and trying to be nice as well. He then says "It's just, you're here sitting all by yourself. I feel bad for you." Excuse me, what? It was so humiliating.. And the whole time he is still giggling. I am sure (I HOPE) he didn't mean any harm or disrespect by it but come on. You feel bad for me? After that my whole mood kind of dissipated. I just wanted to leave or disappear. I felt like I was being watched and laughed at, look at her sitting by herself.. I have never been shamed or treated differently when I go out anywhere else to eat by myself, nor should I or ANYONE be shamed for it. All in all, it was a disappointing and unexpectedly humiliating experience, the food was okay, not bad for the AYCE price. But I won't ever be going back, by myself or with...
