Sarku Japan — Restaurant in Humble

I have been a long time customer of Sarku. I have read the bad reviews and I know every experience can be different but I have had only good experiences at this location. The service has always been friendly. This location is always busy and the line can get long. No matter how long the line I have never had to wait too long. The cooks have been the same ones for years now. They know how to cook the chicken just right. I have had teriyaki chicken at other places and the chicken is burnt. I have never had that issue here. I will say the prices have gone up but they have gone up everywhere so it's unfair for people to leave a bad review because they think the prices are too high. However, their portion sizes are plenty and I usually get double meat so I have enough for lunch the next day. Their drink cups are BIG so when you spend $2.50 you get alota soda vs other places with their small cups for the same price. Before covid they offered refills but that is gone. Smh. I always get the chicken teriyaki! While the flavor of the chicken is good, the fried rice is just a little more flavorful than the steamed white rice. Sometimes I feel like the chicken isn't cut up small enough, or isn't cooked well enough, as there can be that slightly slimy texture from the meat. The service isn't anything to write home about; it's fine. The staff have never been rude, but they haven't exactly been polite either. The chicken dumplings are really good, but expect a longer wait if you order them. Get the child's portion if you're eating alone; it comes with a drink, and you can switch the steamed white rice for noodles or fried rice for an extra cost. The regular portion size is way too big. THE MOST HORRIBLE SERVICE BY THE RUDEST STAFF. NOT WORTH YOUR TIME. DO NOT GO HERE! I WOULD GIVE A ZERO RATING IF I COULD. THESE JERKS MISTREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS. WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO SPEND YOUR MONEY AT A BUSINESS THAT ABUSES ITS CUSTOMERS? ?! ! STAY AWAY! AND DO NOT PAY FOR DOUBLE CHICKEN BECAUSE YOU DON'T REALLY GET ANYMORE CHICKEN THAN THE NORMAL PORTION. SAVE YOUR MONEY.
