I initially started planning my honeymoon to French Polynesia by myself. I had never used a travel agency before, and figured that I could find the best deals by comparing and contrasting different hotels, excursions, and flights, then purchasing the best bang for my buck a-la-carte. I also wanted to avoid paying any extra fees to have someone do all this work for me. While doing my research, I saw an add for Tahiti.com and figured it had to be too good to be true, but couldn't resist at least asking for a quote to see what they had to offer. Candice Webster responded promptly (within a day or two) of making my quote request submission on their website. I was very specific with my request, having already done a lot of research and already knowing where I wanted to stay and a specific excursions with specific companies that I wanted to go on. Candice not only incorporated almost every single item that I requested into my individualized travel itinerary, her quote also included elements that I wasn't even thinking were possible for us on our budget, like private driver transfers to/from airports and ferry docks, a couple's massage, a $75 food and beverage credit at a resort, and a celebratory bottle of champagne. All of these things penciled out to a few thousand dollars UNDER the best prices that I could find and what I was planning on paying when my intention was still to book the trip myself. Knowing what I know now, I wish I wouldn't have wasted my time trying to do this all myself! Candice basically became my personal assistant over the next several weeks, and was unexpectedly responsive, friendly, and sincere regarding any inquires/concerns I had with tweaking our trip to make it perfect. Right before we were to board our flight, the French government announced they were going to shut down international travel to French Polynesia due to COVID-related concerns. Candice was ON it. She was completely transparent and honest about what her concerns were with us proceeding on our trip (possible cancellations of excursions, possible hotel closures, possible flight cancellations), but told us the choice was up to us if we wanted to still go or not. We decided to roll the dice and proceed with our trip. Candice was in constant communication with us whenever we needed her, giving us updates and helping us re-book and reschedule things that needed modification while we were there. Sure, it would have been great to know ahead of time that everything was going to go smoothly and as planned, but that's just not the world we live in right now. And Candice made it SO easy to just roll with the punches, knowing that she was looking out for us and sincerely cared about making the best of our COVID situation. We were promptly and completely refunded for the excursion we weren't able to go on, and for the 3 nights that we weren't able to stay at our hotel because we had to leave the country early. She even helped us re-book a new flight home for free, which was above and beyond my expectations, since we went into this arrangement telling her we were going to take care of our own airfare. Overall, my experience with Tahiti.com was a true pleasure and exceeded my expectations. You can book with them with confidence, even during COVID...they are loyal customer servants that have no intention of taking advantage of you. And I say Candice Webster deserves a big fat raise, or Employee of the Month at...
Read moreThank you Joseph at Tahiti.com!!! Our trip was BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL. Bliss. Heaven. Perfection. There are no words. We had an experience that doesn’t qualify as a vacation and can not possibly be compared to anything else. Joseph’s recommendations were spot on. 100% perfect. The places we stayed, the islands we visited, the order that we went to the islands. Our experiences were outstanding...day after day...island after island...adventure after adventure. We were treated like kings and queens from the moment we landed. Everything he set up and promised was delivered. Transfers were punctual and always with a smile. Flower leis everywhere as promised!! Service everywhere we went was top notch. Of course a hiccup or two...as is life...but all were handled so wonderfully and all were things totally out of anyone’s control.
We rented cars on EVERY island, cranked the jams and explored. That being said..we quickly remembered how to drive manual transmissions. Gulp. Those Mountain roads really grind out the gears quickly!! Waterfalls like we have never seen before. Stared at mountains that were just so jurasical (word I made up to describe the feeling that at any moment a t-Rex was going to come busting through the palm trees). We got drunk at a cool little tourist tiki bar. We took a ferry to Mo’orea. We drank champagne. We walked the beaches. We drank the wine. We found THE BEST apple pie at a sand-floor dive in Maui Beach. We paddle boarded in the breathtaking bay in Bora Bora. We ate breakfast and dinner is the treetop restaurant as you recommended. We snorkeled the coral gardens. We floated in floaties...just out there...out in the ocean. We sat front row for a traditional hula show. We learned about black pearls...hard working momma oysters! We looked for celebrities at Bloody Marys. We found the golf course. I learned how to weave a basket out of palms. We learned how vanilla grows. We watched a Polynesian fire dancing show. We bought pearls!!! We took a helicopter to the heart island. We fed the fish through the floor of our bungalow. We chartered a private boat and we FRICKEN SWAM WITH SHARKS!!! Sharks...oceanic black tips sure but then two 10 foot Lemons!!! Like total bucket list stuff every day. Every day. Every.single.day.
Joseph, From the bottom of my heart, I thank you. I took a big chance having blind faith that you knew what you were doing and would create a trip of a lifetime for our 20 year anniversary. You did that...and more. We had THE trip of our lifetime. Honestly...it is a really big deal. You don’t know the mountains your clients have faced, climbed and conquered in their lives. You have no idea what this trip they are seeking means to them...what they are celebrating. But despite not knowing the reasons why they are calling you, you treat their requests and ideas with such care and respect. You create THE trip that dreams are made of. The customer service, overall process and follow through of both you and your company is exemplary. We are so impressed with absolutely every detail. Joseph, Thank you for everything you did to create our trip. It was life...
Read moreCandice Webster was amazing. She handled everything. She coordinated the hotels, the transfers, the flights, and the excursions. She selected them based on a few simple questions that she asked to get an idea of what we were looking for in a dream vacation. We went on safari, jet skiing, atv riding, snorkeling, etc. The guides were great as well. Everything was perfect. If you are planning a trip to Tahiti or French Polynesia, definitely use Candice from Tahiti.com We stayed on 3 islands. Tahiti, Moorea, and Hauhine-(Waa-knee.) If we had it to do again, we would spent the least amount of time on the island of Tahiti. The Manava Suite Resort was very nice, but the activities were limited there to sitting by the pool. The food was nice, but they had private local parties on 2 nights that guests were not invited to, which seemed a little odd. They have an on site Resturant, and the food is good, but you are not in Walking distance to any other local restaurants. Moorea, that was our very favorite island. We stayed at the Manava Beach Resort and Spa in an overwater bungalow. It was as wonderful as you can imagine. There were so many beautiful tropical fish right off of our balcony as well as a Sea turtle. Moorea is so much more relaxed and quite. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Moorea. I would stay there twice as long. Candice also arranged for a sunset dinner at the Moorea Beach Cafe. The food was delicious. The service great and presentation artistic. This is a must if you go to Moorea. We chose to take an evening walk back to our. Bungalow after dinner, just up the road, and felt very safe. Also, the massages at the Manava Beach Resort and Spa were amazing. We had a couples massage. Mine was so great that I went back for a second one with Hitia. I’ve had many massages, and hers was right up there with the best of them. Lastly, Huahine, this island is even more layer back than Moorea. There are only 3 resorts on Hauhine, and one has been closed since Covid. We stayed in a beach front bungalow at the Le Mahana Resort. This place is very family oriented. There is paddle boarding and kayaking right outside the door, as well as snorkeling with plenty of tropical fish to see in the clear turquoise waters. Huahine is definitely more rustic and family oriented, with more beach activities. We rented a car for the day on both Moorea and Huahine. One Hauhine there is one, store, one bank, and that’s it. If you blink you missed. Overall, it was an incredible vacation. Have Candice Webster from Tahiti.com help you plan your vacation and don’t miss Moorea or the Moorea...
