Grinderz Five Star Review
I’ve been to this location a few times and the food is always fantastic. Today half of my family is shopping across the street at Costco and I was starving so I wanted to come over and just grab a bite. Those that have been here know how awesome this place is already and the food is fantastic so I highly recommend a visit. But today I wanted to highlight a young man by the name of “Noah“. When a young person is working this hard on a Sunday afternoon when they could be doing anything else in life, I really respect the hell out of a young person that is earning their keep. I wanted to leave this post and just show Noah’s authenticity in action.
Just to clarify, I did show him this review and did ask him his permission for this photograph. I want to respect him as much as I want to honor him today and recognize how amazing of a representative of this brand is. Maybe he’ll own the place someday, maybe he’ll just work here for a summer. But the best part about meeting someone like this is he actually cares about his job and goes above and beyond. Every single person that he asked “how are you today?“ that responded with asking him how he is, he thanked them for them responding in just an awesome way. His tonality, his caring about peoples orders, and his delivery of the food to the table is probably the best I’ve ever experienced in my decades of going to restaurants of various degrees. Whoever sees this, I’m hoping that Noah will screenshot this and save it for a referral later in life. When you hire a young person like this, you’ve basically won the lottery. Anyone can work at a job. Anyone can go through the motions. But this young man is going in on every step of the way and I wanted to highlight and recognize him today.
This is one solid human being and it’s so refreshing to see a person going all in because they care from within versus they’re faking it. To the owners of this restaurant, please recognize this young person perhaps with a 10 or $20 gift card to someplace where he can go enjoy himself for his hard work. I’m sure you’re already recognizing him, but I just wanted to mention perhaps Going above and beyond for him like he’s doing for your company. Best...
Read moreReally enjoyed our experience at grinderz
My partner and I had a hankering for a burger - tired of always going to the same few places I scoured the internet a bit and found lots of positive press on grinderz. We decided to give it a try.
Decor inside is kind of like skate theme meets wahoos fish tacos - fun and high energy with cool videos on the TV. I think it was Red Bull TV?
We were promptly greeted on entry by an extremely energetic, if a little nervous, younger guy with medium length blonde hair. I wish I’d gotten his name but he was awesome and very helpful. He helped us choose the items we wanted and took the time to walk through the descriptions of a few different things. He proceeded to check on us partly through the meal too which is an unexpected but pleasant detail.
I got a classic double cheeseburger and it was excellent - I would request grilled onions next time but otherwise very much enjoyed it. Cooked perfectly and very well seasoned. She got a single with ketchup and cheese and felt the same. We got a basket of the fries I can’t remember the name of but we’re the most juiced up option (see photo) - basically their equivalent of animal fries. They tasted great but the basket was a monster portion and not really appropriate for the two of us - hardly an issue!
Overall, can’t...
Read moreI finally was able to try out this place a couple weeks ago with some friends. I waited quite a while until they served craft beer with their food. Grinderz is located inside Old World Village in Huntington Beach. The restaurant is quite small, but there's indoor and outdoor seating.
The restaurant's decor is vibrant, inspired by skateboard and beach culture. I am not sure if the people working were the owners or regular employees, but they were nice to explain the menu to my group and asked how we found them? Very friendly service which is always a plus.
The menu is very simple, only a few selections - Cheeseburger, Double-Cheese, Turkey Burger, Chicken etc. Combos are anywhere from $6-9 depending on what you order. There is craft beer available, but very limited selection. My friend ordered the "Oktoberfest" but the taps were not properly setup so he received a different beer, IPA (I believe). Once the beer was corrected situated the fellas working comped my friend the beer he originally chose. That was very nice of them to do even though my friend had said he was content with the IPA.
Overall, the food and service was great. Too bad it's a bit far from where I live, but if I am in the HB area, Grinderz will be a choice for a delicious meal...
