The theater is an absolute beauty. The shows they do there are usually spectacular and reasonably priced. Though the food isn't, but that's to be expected I think. (That's how they get you, haha)
I have never actually got to be an audience member and watch a show before, but from what I know about behind the scenes it's a wonderful experience everytime I walk through the doors.
•Nifty Little Side Note: There are catacombs under the theater; picture Paris' catacombs only scaled down to the size of Huntington. I've been down there a handful of times and its really a treat if you get to.
BUT BEWARE The Kieth Albee Ghost!!! In the projection room above the audience, the dressing rooms, and the bathrooms there is an older gentleman dressed in old timey clothing who doesn't speak to anyone or do any "typical" ghostly hijinks but he is a real ghost. He's a friendly ghost if you can get past the...
Read moreGreat venue, and wonderful staff! However, while I tried very hard to enjoy the Tedeschi Trucks Band (whom I absolutely love), the crowd appeared to either not know who the band was, or they had never been to a live show before; They either wouldn't stop shouting out idiotic things during the quiet parts, or they would to sing along (very poorly) with the few songs they knew. Not only that, but quite a few of them insisted on standing up, while yukking it up with a bunch of other idiots; Like they were in a bar, and had no regard for the people who were seated, and trying to...
Read moreTraveled from Cincinnati Ohio to see a concert by our favorite band Five for Fighting. We knew the venue was an older theater but never imagined the nostalgic feel this beautiful theater has. While still in need of some cosmetic improvements the theater was still just breathtaking. The sound was enormous. Everyone we met that sat around us were so kind and inviting. After the show we we're given a cast party invite from a person that sat next to us. That was also a blast. If you have not seen or experienced this venue you should definitely make a stop to see a piece...
