Marshall Hall of Fame Cafe — Restaurant in Huntington

Update: I went twice before updating my review, in hopes that it was a one time bad day. However, this place has went down hill fast😭 They no longer cook like they used to the 5 cheese Mac & cheese had zero cheese? The salmon wasn't caramelized, the chicken tenders were over cooked and overcoated in BBQ, I'm assuming to attempt to seem not so dry? Of course the portion sizes were cut by nearly a full 50%. The service was minimal and we've dealt with undelivered items to our table..like a main dish?! I never enjoy having to wave down a waitress, but even then I still didn't get anyone to our table, just side looks. Only during paying my bill was we asked if we wanted to wait for the remaining food to take it to go or not..but said they couldn't take it off the bill because they weren't sure how to do that. After leaving and paying by debit, 2 days later I received notification that they tipped themselves more than I wrote on the receipt. So this alone, I'll never bring my family back. Highly disappointed. It's unfortunate that this place has went downhill this far. I literally loved them!😭 ...I'll take a 45 minute one way trip just to visit here. Of course I always order the same thing but man do they have epic caramelized salmon, and the 5-cheese Mac & cheese is heaven. Chicken strips aren't bad but I have to get the sauce on the side because I'll end up with more sauce than chicken but that's just my opinion. I'm no sports fan, but I'll recommend this place to anyone. Hope this review...

Horrible experience, which is a shame because I took a friend who had never been there before. Usually, I receive good service and great food here. But this visit was the opposite! We weren't greeted, or assisted with seating. I finally walked to the bar and was told to sit anywhere. So we picked a booth in the dining area, where others were also eating, and then we were told to move because they wanted to close that area...at 8pm!!! We didn't want to sit in the bar area, but now we had no choice. It got worse from there....waited a long time to see a waitress or order a drink, waited even longer for food!! Then I received my salad and steak at the same time and my friends received cold soup. We were never offered refills or attended to in any way. The restaurant was not busy and there was no reason in the world for the poor service or long wait. When you have nothing but college students running a restaurant, and no supervision, this is what tends to happen unfortunately. We did speak with a manager at the end of the evening after it took a long time to locate one... And it was obvious he did not care one bit about our bad experience. My friend posted feedback on their website, and I will say the general manager called her immediately and offered to send us gift certificates...so we will see if they actually come...

Don't eat here unless you want salmonella. I ordered potato skins and a cajun pasta with shrimp delivered and when I opened my food at home, the pasta had broken egg shells in it. I was sick, which is why I didn't pick it up in person in the first place, and was so sick I actually picked the first couple pieces out. When I found the third I finally took a picture and called the restaurant. The bartender was very sweet and helpful, it clearly wasn't her fault, but first the cook tried to say they were pieces of shrimp tails, as if I couldn't tell the difference. When I explained they were very clearly egg shells, she offered to make me a new pasta or refund the money for it, to which I asked her to just refund my money for only the pasta, not the potato skins since nothing was wrong with those. She also took my information to send me a gift card in addition to refunding my money, even though I told her that wasn't necessary. I never recieved a refund, nor a giftcard, otherwise I wouldn't be writing this review. I'm not surprised they were so careless they dropped eggshells in my pasta, but I am surprised they blatantly lied and offered a refund for their mistake, as they should, and then didn't correct...
