FN Classy Tattoo Body Piercing — Attraction in Huntsville

Edit (to business response): I know for a fact it was Jody, contrary to what FNC wants you to believe. Yes it was years ago, perhaps things have changed, and perhaps FNC should be shown some grace. I write the review now because I doubted myself at the time. I've had many more tats since and it's just solidified my stance- I was treated poorly and clients should know to trust their gut when it comes to an artist at any studio, not just FNC. Also, the whole "Ronny says hi" bit comes off as condescending and unprofessional as it is a passive way to indicate I had incorrect information. Sorry I didn't thoroughly stalk him to find out where he is currently...

TLDR: Jody is arrogant and does average work, but 2 stars because I met Ronny Veritas here, who later gave me a BA tattoo.

Full story: I meant to leave this review a while ago. I went with a friend and showed Jody what I wanted, with inspiration photos- a firefly, but with a lantern for the light part instead of the typical body. I showed him a firefly illustration to show what I wanted for wing placement. He was condescending and said it was a sticker. I know. That's why it's called a reference picture, key word, reference. I tried to explain why I showed it to him and he just shut me me down, repeating himself, so I decided not to pursue it. I have been tattooed by lots of people and in shops around the world. Some artists think very highly of themselves, and not in a confident way, but rather in an arrogant one. Honestly, most of their artists do average wor, but if you don't want to leave Huntsville, then I guess it's your call. Amanda at Powerhouse ink is an amazing artist, but no longer accepting new clients.

I will not post a photo of the gorgeous tattoo I got because I do not want it to be attributed to FNC. I was persistent and returned to FNC and refused to speak with Jody. No way he was doing any of my tattoos. I ended up working with Ronny Veritas, who, years ago, moved to Atomic Tattoo in Austin. He listened and came up with a wonderful conceptual drawing. I pick artists I can trust, as ultimately they have the best vision with bringing what I want to life, including the color, design, and placement. Jody did not show any trust in me as a client, and didn't even listen to what I wanted to see if he could bring it to life. This made me question his ability as an artist. I've learned to trust my gut. Good tattoos cost a lot and I am not going to pay & tip someone that treats me poorly.

First off lemme just say that FN Classy is an excellent business all around. Ant did my tattoo and it was excellent. The amount of work and dedication he put into that tat was astounding. I sat for a 4 hour session and the time just flew by because hes also just a really swell guy. It's nice to be able to have a conversation with the artist doing your tattoo. He was also really attentive. He asked a lot if I was comfortable, if the pain was too much, if I needed water or to use the restroom, that kind of stuff. It really made me feel valued as a customer. And he has a pretty light touch which is great. Everyone I talked to there was super friendly as well, and it was fun having some banter with the rest of the shop.

I'm only here in huntsville for college, this isnt my final stop. But, I'm gonna come back here every time I need a touch up done, or want something added to my tat because there isnt anyone else I trust with it. Coming back here from wherever I end up will be worth the trip because I know it's worth the quality and care I can rely on...

I called so many tattoo shops from Huntsville to Conroe, and every place was super booked up and no openings. I had small work done here at FN Classy before so I had to call and sure enough they was professional as ever! Answering the phone in a professional manner, and found a good time to squeeze me in there busy schedules. The whole atmosphere is great, makes you feel comfortable and at home.. with artists you can trust.

I recommend this place to friends and family all the time. And now to every one on Google, as a Google guide. So if your in the mood for great work, and great artists, this is DEFINITELY the place to go.

I absolutely LOVE my tattoo.. and the handwriting is like no other. Definitely original one of a kind. That im proud to have on my body for the rest of my life. It may be just a name, but it fits me 100% looking forward to getting more work...
