I lived at The Rockwell from May of 2024 to July of this year and had a HORRIBLE experience IN APARTMENT 2101.
First couple of weeks of living there, our bathroom had no hot water.
Our apartment flooded shortly after, and we were told it was because of the "ice tray". It was so bad the whole kitchen was flooded then flooded the entire master bedroom. The floors were damaged and was coming apart and the baseboards in the master turned yellow.
The hallway bathroom also had mold in the toilet, sink, shower head, coming out of the grout and the overflow drain in the tub. The grout in the shower wall also came apart when you showered and you couldn't even clean the walls without grout coming apart. I told multiple people on staff about the issues including health concerns and problems, and I was disregarded. Shawna never even tried to mitigate the mold and never got back with me on getting it taken care of, even after she came into the apartment herself and acknowledged it.
Our apartment flooded a second time. We had a guest staying with us at the time, and Shawna came over and said they couldn't accommodate to us because "there wasn't a 2 bedroom unit available". The master bedroom was SOAKED with water and the floors had water coming out every time you walked across them. They never told us why the apartment flooded again and never finished repairs. our baseboards were cracking and separating, turning brown and yellow, and also started to "puff up".
During this time too, our ac went out 3x and it was 75 degrees in our apartment for days each occurrence.
When we finally decided to terminate our lease, our move out day was supposed to be a week into the upcoming month, and they said we had to pay rent still for that week since they were already "accommodating to us already" by letting us move out....
I would not recommend these apartments to my worse enemy. We never even got any apology for any of the issues or even understood our frustration. I had been sick from as early as September/October 2024 and still am now. We had to toss multiple items of ours because it was damaged by mold.
The mold caused me and my sister horrible health issues that we are still dealing with now a month after moving out. My sister is now having to see multiple doctors and missing work. Not only this, the apartment right next to ours had to move out as well because they had horrible mold. I saw it myself and their ruined furniture. They also requested for the mold to be taken care of, and Shawna never...

Iāve changed my review to 5-stars as I feel the new management team is doing a fine job. Over all I really enjoyed living here, and the previous mentioned toilet issue was ultimately fixed. I do think residents of the property would benefit from designating EV charging spaces, but other than that - this is a great place to lease.
Original Review This places has some perks, but if youāre an EV owner hoping to use the EV chargers on site - prepare to be consistently let down. Currently only 1 charger on the property works, and the 4th one is occupied. This is no uncommon event, and there is no urgency to actually get them repaired. Not to mention there is no signage for the EV chargers so you can count on other residents parking their ICE vehicles in front of the chargers making them unusable anyway. I have escalated this issue multiple times since May and there has been no solution implemented.
To add to this, our toilets havenāt flushed properly since day 1, even after being repaired and our upstairs neighbors seem to own a horse.
Aside from this, The Rockwell is located conveniently, and has decent amenities for the price, but I canāt say I love...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA decent apartment, but you can do way better for the money and not have to live more than a couple of miles away from here and probably spend less.
Gym rules aren't enforced, as people routinely exercise barefoot or shirtless, or blast music from their own speakers.
Parking is a mess. Handicap spaces are always taken by non-handicap drivers, and when those are gone residents just park...wherever. It can make it difficult to pull out of a spot when others are permitted to park anywhere they like, often blocking in cars in actual spots.
There's really nothing "luxury" about this place, not even an elevator. I've lived in actual luxury apartments (and moved back after my experience here) and the difference is night and day.
Of course there's the shoddy construction that goes along with most apartments being built these days, but, again, it hardly makes for the advertised luxurious living experience when the unit feels as though it were made if paper mache.
It's far from being a dump, but I wouldn't recommend living here. There's countless options for apartments in this city, there's no reason to...
