If I could leave zero stars I would. I came in yesterday and I can honestly say as a long time GameStop customer that I have never encountered such a rude and condescending employee. I was actually excited to see that this GameStop was selling laptops, which I am actively looking to purchase at the moment. When I asked the employee for more details Karianne was very rude right from the beginning. She really made me feel uncomfortable when all I wanted was for a bit of info on a product that was a bit over $1,000. Obviously I’m not making a purchase at that price point without a bit of info first. When I asked if she could maybe look at the packaging to see if she can find the specs she proceeded to degrade me in front of other customers by asking a fellow co worker if he could magically pop the info into her brain for her. The amount of sarcasm and hostility she used honestly made me feel degraded and I felt like I was a complete bother. She really needs to consider another career if helping customers is so much trouble, retail is not for her. I will not be coming into this location again and I really hope that the way she interacts with customers improves, it really reflects poorly on the company...
Read moreIf it had 0 start I would totally apply here. November 21st the release of the 30th anniversary controllers. In the morning walked in asked the employee and he claimed 0 available. The day before I made sure I checked my local gamestop to make sure they where available system showed 4 I was told 2 should be pre-order and anything else is extra. Went in he claimed non available looked nervous I pressed him and he again said non available also looking nervous thought ok whatever I'll go to another 1. When I went to a different location she told me that store shows 4 as we speak. I returned later to that store when I see a different employee handing out the last Un pre-ordered controller. Morning employee completely lied and like the other gamestop manager suggested, probably stored it away for his own purchase. Unfortunately this was a while ago but I will be contacting the store manager just to advise him he has employees who keep items to be sold hidden because of item values. Those are valuable limited edition controllers and for your employee to keep for his own personal purchase when they should be on sale and sold bad look for gamestop if buying limited edition...
Read moreI had much better experience GRADING CARDS at this location. I went to this location the same day as the 1301 Glade Road Location. When I took my cards out and asked to get them graded, the employee carefully picked up the cards and then carefully placed them down (Unlike the glade road location) then the employee went through the process of stickering and so on. At this location, the stickers were placed on gently (unlike the Glade Road location). After they were placed in the bag the employee walked the bag over and I saw the employee carefully place them in a protective box (unlike the glade road location where they were tossed into a drawer from a few feet away and when they didn't quite make it they were then shall we say bopped in). The employees then explained the whole process of shipping to assure me they would be as safely transported as they could try and make them. Unlike the Glade Road location, my experience here was 100 times better and actually changed my mind about ever going back...
