This place has potential. After spending $250 for the unlimited pass for the family I was in shock at how many problems we had and encountered. First, when we went to ride one of the rides, my 14-year-old noticed that the card reader deducted points from his card. After the ride we went inside to check on the machine and sure enough, he had points taken away from two rides. Out of 4 cards, two took away points and 2 didn’t. Ok, mistake, it can be fixed. Went to the counter to explain what happened. After maybe 30-45 minutes and two managers assisted, they gave me new cards that loaded correctly as unlimited pass cards. Left he counter and went straight to the kiosk to check the cards. All 4 didn’t get loaded with the points we had before. Went back to the counter and explained what was going on. Spent another 30 minutes waiting for anyone to figure out what was going on. At first the worker tried to tell me that I used all the point already, in the 2 minutes I went from the counter to the kiosk and back. They had to call a manager over to get it all figured out. Finally….at least we thought the entire situation was figured out and we could go about our day. Wrong. Now all cards are deducting points when we swipe them for anything. Gave up at that point and tried to enjoy the rest of our time there.
Decided that we would just go inside and go bowling. Walk up the counter and tell the girl we want to bowl…she pulls out a tablet and tells me there is a 40-minute wait. I turn and see 5 lanes being used currently, the rest are completely shut off and no one around. She tells me that the other lanes are reserved. Really? Why not a first come first serve for bowling?
In 4 hours, we got to ride 2 rides, putt putt 1 round, go carts once and laser tag once. Definitely not worth $250 at all. After being told there was a 40-minute wait to bowl on the many empty not used lanes and combined with the prior experience I had there, we just left. I would say that maybe 75% of the arcade was working. Many games were either turned off, took your points but didn’t play or said it required an attendant attention. They use some weird point system for the games. One game could be 8.6 points and another 14 points. We only played one putt putt course, and it was alright. Nothing special. Just hit the ball in the cup, maybe 3 holes were different, the rest were just hit the ball straight and you get a hole in one. Go carts are at least gas powered unlike most places that are electric. The track is nice, and the carts are in good condition. The line can get long for the single carts. Lastly, why do they have armbands for the unlimited pass when we still must swipe the play card...
Read moreFirst I would like to start by saying overall my family and I had a great experience. On a Friday evening we where looking for a way for my family of 7 to be able to have fun and do a lot of different activities for a reasonable price. I am also a military veteran and I am only stating that because it has significance to this review. So we come in and we initially want to buy six $60 passes but after speaking with the cashier she advised us to buy 5 because we have a newborn and another small child. She told us that the adults could that the parent could get on all rides with the small child so one of the parents wouldn’t need to buy a $60 pass. Ok Great we are saving money! In ask if there is a military discount they say yes. I show my military ID. The lady then comes up and says he can’t use the military discount on what he’s buying and just nonchalantly walks off. So I guess that was the end of that! We buy the five passes the kids ride the rides, bowl, and we eat thinking that we will save the game cards for the end so they will have something to do the whole time. We’re having a great time. We get to the end and the game cards are passed out. The kids come back and there is no balance on the cards. I take the cards to the register and tell them just that. She then tells me that I have to go back in my pocket and spend more money when she acknowledged the the cashier was new and she made a mistake. Kids are ready to play and they’re looking at ME like what are you going to do! It’s roughly 8:30 pm and this cashier would not make the mistake right! We spent $360 and all she had to do was correct a $30 mistake. I was beyond livid! We were just talk about how we would be visiting again. This was our second visit. First to the Hurst location but that really left a bad taste in my mouth because you’re willing to just let us walk out disappointed over $30 when in the two times we visited we’ve spent close to $800 buying passes and food. It was an easy fix and Alley Cats totally missed the mark. I will be contacting the corporate office to further discuss...
Read moreWe booked my daughters 7th Birthday Party here. There were many issues.
I was not told that the party had to start on a bowling lane. I was not warned or educated that the “rides” would be shut down if it was too hot. This is summer in Texas, I should have been told. My entire party was expecting unlimited rides. I was never given the cupcakes that came with the party. I found them on a table at the end of my party. The pizzas flopped down when picked up. Too much grease or undercooked dough. The ice cream and drinks were sat on top of a dirty trash can prior to being served. Gross. (Which I requested in my booking to have the trash can removed from the room for reasons like this. The trash can is on wheels, there was an open room next door it could have been scooted into). We were forced to do a laser tag game IMMEDIATELY after our time in the party room. We were not informed it had to be on their schedule and we were not prepared. I nearly missed my child’s first ever laser tag game because I was told I HAD to cash out at that very moment. So we have to play laser tag on your schedule and I have to cash out while everyone plays? Um what? Why can we not use our free game of laser tag when we are ready? Nearly every crane game was either broken or close to empty. Duck crane not working, ticket claw machine bare minimum nearly empty, ball claw machine nearly empty. I was not told children had to have closed toed shoes for rock wall prior to the party. A lot of guests wore sandals because it’s Texas summer. I voiced this to the bowling manager, as she was the only one around, and she couldn’t have cared less. She brushed me off and had an attitude. While paying for the party, I voiced the unlimited ride issue with the manager, and all she offered was to downgrade. She rushed to get me checked out and offered no customer service.
I was given ZERO compensation or accommodation for these many issues. I actually responded to the review email from the party MANAGER, and didnt even get a response. Go...
