I think it is wonderful that others have had such great experiences here. Our experience was… not good. My brothers and I came in to do this room on a fun Saturday afternoon. We had originally signed up for a different room, but that one was unavailable and they offered us a very nice discount to switch to their western-themed room. So here was our experience.
When we walked in, we were surprised at the lack of warmth or invitation in the lobby. It is cool, don’t get me wrong. The logo painted on the wall, the repeated black and white images, etc. There was nothing for people to do while they waited. No interesting signs, reading materials, puzzles, or other distractions. While none of that is a requirement for an escape room, it is nice to have. We didn’t have to wait, though, so it’s a moot point.
They got us started on the room early, which is a plus. They gave us a short backstory and a few cautions and sent us on in. There was nowhere to leave our stuff, so phones and sunglasses came in with us. The room was about the size of a closet and jammed with many different items. There was a lot to do for each of us at first. We are all big people and we filled the whole room, so I can’t quite picture fitting six people comfortably into the room unless they are all much smaller than we are.
The puzzles were mostly basic and not hard to figure out at all. There were a few puzzles that required knowledge that we couldn’t be guaranteed to have. (An equivalent for reference would be if someone expected you to know how to use a punnet square in order to solve a puzzle. There’s an okay chance someone in a group would know it… but no guarantee.) The one could-be-cool gen 2 lock broke and they had to physically come into the room to fix it. Not cool.
Skipping on through so as not to spoil anything (except this: at one point we opened a door in the room to find… a storage closet. I think someone forgot to lock the door 😬). We finished the room VERY quickly. Our outtro was anticlimactic to say the very least. It almost seemed as if they just expected us to walk right out the door. No picture was offered. They gave us some raffle tickets and sent us on our way. It was all a little abrupt.
I have at this point done every escape room within a 60 mile radius and dozens of escape rooms across the country. This was not the worst escape room I’ve ever done (that honor goes to Novus Escapes in Delaware), but it would take a lot of convincing to get me to try their other rooms… and convincing me to do an escape room is not usually a hard thing to do.
All in all, I’d say they have a long way to go before they are ready for business.
Edit: they did give me a complete,...
Read moreHonestly I have been to a lot of escape rooms especially in this area, and this one is top notch. I have been getting bored of the places around town and having this one open up is an answered prayer.
Such a great welcome by the staff when we walked in, I love the decorations, feels like you are literally walking into an escape room itself. The prices are super good as well. I think his name was Kyle but he made the experience top notch. They are still getting rooms built and ready but the one room we did was styled perfectly. We went in with 6 people and everyone was working hard comfortably in the space. There was definitely some times that we were stumped but they gave us the best hints to still make it a great experience. I personally loved the props as well, kept us very intrigued. My wife dreads escape rooms but after some convincing and dragging her there, she’s asking for us to come back next week lol. Overall a very respectable place and a fun experience. They earned every star of...

I’ve been to pretty much all of the escape rooms in Rexburg, Idaho falls, Blackfoot , etc. I’ve gotta hand it to these guys, the room we played was outstanding! The perfect amount of mystery and challenge to give anyone a fun experience. The puzzles were all different and unique. It seems like most places you go to it’s the same thing. Get a key only to find another key and then another, so on and so forth.Having to utilize tools and trigger some of the puzzles were a breath of fresh air. Something new and exciting! Something to look forward too!
We also had a lot of fun meeting the owners. They were really nice and made sure to make us feel included and welcome. They did tell us that some of the other rooms will be ready here in the next couple of weeks! I will definitely be going back!
Get your friends, get your family and head on down to this awesome...
