Deer Lake Banquet Center — Attraction in Independence Charter Township

I have never eaten in a restaurant on a major holiday before, but since most of our family members were unable to come for Thanksgiving this year we decided to go to the buffet. I can’t tell you enough how impressed I was at everything I experienced. The buffet was huge and beautiful with every type of food you could imagine for a Thanksgiving feast. It was very well laid out and presented and tasted amazing!!! From the moment we walked in the door, you could tell it was very well organized. We were seated exactly at our reserved time. Our waitress Hannah was very attentive, professional, and kind. She even took our picture for us! The reservation time of 90 minutes was plenty of time for us to eat and visit with one another. There was also a large screen with the football game on so that those who liked to watch football on Thanksgiving wouldn’t miss out.. There was no sound so it wasn’t like being in a bar and the whole atmosphere exuded the feeling of warmth love and family. Deer Lake Banquet Center hosted my Dad’s Celebration of Life today. I am beyond happy that we held our event at this facility (Gloria was our event host). The level service and kindness by the staff were A+. And the buffet dinner (roast beef, salmon, chicken piccata, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad and rolls) were AMAZING. So many of my guests said it was the best buffet dinner they have ever had, and I agree.

I felt the price was completely fair, especially after experiencing the service and quality of the food. If I need to hold another event in that area, I won’t even look for another facility.

What a perfect venue for our NOCC Spring Banquet. We had a wonderful time, excellent food and marvelous service. Special thank you to Forest who connected us with Debbie, the banquet manager, who handled all our needs and was exceptional to work with.
