Greenlight Dispensary Independence — Attraction in Independence

Most unpleasant dispensary experience of my life thus far. My boyfriend and I waited in the corner behind the online order pick-up window for a few minutes before being told we could just go on to the back and be helped in the main store. We go on back and our cashier, Ryan, almost immediately mentions Google reviews and listen, I love a review but we hadn't even been helped yet. Ryan, R-Y-A-N, made sure we knew his name and how to spell it and mentioned the review twice more before we even had our order. Once Ryan checked my bf's ID, he left to get our order but when he came back and told us the total, it was more than twice what it should have been. Turns out Ryan grabbed the wrong order, different customer with the same first name and my bf, easy mistake, no big deal. Ryan then gets us the correct order, had the right products and my bfs name printed on the receipt but had another customers name - this time same last name as my bf - written on the receipt in sharpie. All around confusing but we got what we came for so oh well, right? As we were wrapping up and about to leave, Ryan made sure to ask "did you post it?" in reference to the review he had previously mentioned many times. Well no, Ryan, I didn't have time to post your review in the middle of our transaction but I have time now so here's your review; hated it, thanks. Oh and I'd like to note that though I am 26 and therefore legal, no one here would know that as not a single employee asked for my ID. Honestly I have absolutely no complaints to the staff, they’re all amazing and go above and beyond. However I have a couple complaints. Parking is 10/10 times always a disaster, there’s never any spots and when there is, it’s usually 4-5 businesses down or across the street, my biggest complaint is that there’s never an option to talk to anyone. I have to order the things I want myself, when there’s already a million facts on everything it doesn’t help when I have to google stuff when it could all be answered by a person…my first visit was a 45 minute fiasco of standing there waiting to have my order taken. No signs at all saying “Kiosk Order Only” and if there are they’re small and not noticeable whatsoever, none of the staff acknowledged me or that I might have been missing the order on kiosk only. Idk. Came in to get one thing and took 40 min because another customer FINALLY told me that I have to order through the kiosk. The entire things feels extremely lazy especially when I see multiple employees standing around talking and on their phones and then finally when I get my order, I don’t even feel like a customer, after the couple times I’ve been to this location all I’ve felt is that I’m a dollar sign and that’s about it. Staff is amazing! However it doesn't really seem like the company really cares considering different locations are completely...

I've gone to several dispensaries in Kansas City and this one is the worst when it comes to purchasing. Friendly people, poor system. It may be beneficial to your workers for people to use your little tablets and stand in line. But at other dispensaries things flow much better and move quicker. At Greenlight pick up window only has room for 4 people before it gets crowded. Then you are waiting forever as well. Time is never on my side when I come here. It's also so annoying that one or two people are ringing folks up while like 3 or 4 other people are standing around hanging out. I obviously don't know what their responsibilities are but the perception of the situation is annoying when you've been waiting ten minutes longer than you thought. I've came to this location since moving here in the summer and From the Earth, KC cannabis, Stairway, Fresh Green, all seem to have a better system in place. 5 to 7 employees taking orders and retrieving orders immediately. I may sound crazy but I've been coming for 6 months and if I'm not in a rush I'm going to the other places. I only go here cause it's a mile from my house. And it still takes me a fat minute to get home because I'm waiting at...
