What a nice treat to have this place close to home and more fun than I thought it would be! There are three courses to choose from. The difficult course which we did (18 holes), an easier course, and an adult course which only has nine holes and I am guessing you could have libations on this course! There a couple arcades & a golf simulation you can do for $45 an hour and up to six people. What makes this indoor mini golf experience unique, is the fact that at each hole, there is a sign to read to tell you what to do prior to putting. You have to spin the board (on some holes) to find out if you have to putt with your eyes closed, put with the putter behind your back, or move someone’s ball to a different location…to your advantage. Hope that makes sense! There are lots of other options that you could land on we just happen to keep landing on those three 😂 The theme throughout the courses is of course, Dinos! When you first come in there are huge dinos that kids can crawl on, play on, or sit on and pretend they are actually riding a dinosaur. There’s a cool seating area with hands for chairs to sit on, as well as a bone, and a wooden bench. I really liked their choice of balls because they had glitter balls including silver, gold, and a pink glitter ball. Then of course you have your usual solid color balls! A couple of my favorites holes on the course were the shoot the golf ball like an arrow into the hole, bounce the ball on this metal piece into the cup (thing BeerPong), and batting the ball through a net. The pool table experience was also cool but you will need to go there because I’m not sharing all the goodies they have to experience! 🤐 They do not serve food like some indoor golf courses. They do sell beer in a can but you don’t get the fresh beer experience or other drinks to choose from. That is the only drawback I would say - add that & food at some point. There is also a room you can rent to have parties. The course took us about an hour and a half to get through. But it went quickly because it was so fun. It also went quickly because we had people behind us waiting lol so we tried not to take too much time hitting the ball multiple times just to keep the line moving. Let me see… parking was just fine. The prices were inexpensive. They played excellent music. The courses are intriguing. The place was clean although I don’t know about the bathroom since I didn’t make it in there to check that out. This place did just open a few weeks ago so I hope they continue to keep things in good order and great shape. There are cool neon signs to take pictures of on your way in and one inside which I have shown. Happy putting! Update: August 5th. We came back due to fam in town and checked out the easy course this time. I thought this one was actually more difficult! 😄 this course had the zip line. Make sure u raise ur feet up the further u go down the line or you will trip and fall out of the chair 🤣 Everything in our group had a blast! One set of fam would take their kids back when they come in town again and all the rest that live here would def go again! Mr. Gunn was very friendly and helpful….esp when telling us not to tell ‘Gun Gun!’ Across the room to get him….just walk over 😂 happy putting….again!

Online pictures looked pretty cool, but I wasn't sure what to expect. This is indoor mini golf, which normally means kinda boring and lacking content and difficulty...THIS IS NOT THE CASE. First off, the guy at the customer service desk was really kind and helpful. The prices were great. There are two courses you can play. For a family of 3, it ended up being around $18 per course. After a military discount, we paid $36 to play both courses. Both courses were moderatly difficult. The course was set up to be totally different from any other mini golf course we had ever played. Almost each hole had a different way to play. One hole, you rode a zip line and tossed your ball at the hole for your first hit. Another hole had you put the ball on a rubber golf tee and hit it with a rubber bat for the first hit, then you continued with the putter for the remainder of the hole. It took our family about 45 minutes per course, and we had a blast. Highly recommend for kids and adults of all ages. BEST MINI GOLF COURSE EVER!!! We will be back.

Pros: Really unique minigame style of minigolf. Really fun, definitely going back to do the other 2 courses (1 course took about 1.5 hours with a party of 9). There's a zipline, loopty-loop, t-ball, crossbow, and pinball etc. Cons: can get kinda hot, considering the weather was so cool today. It is a compact 3 courses so there's not much room for a large party to stand while others golf. Some places should have more mesh netting or plexy to be "safer". Definitely thinking there's gonna be injuries in the future. Saw some impact marks on walls and glass here and there. It can be literally a maze if you wanna get back to the front desk. Probably better for kids age 9 and up. There's an alcohol accessible 9 hole course as well for adults only. They could remove some holes and just leave room for standing or photos honestly.

It's nice to finally have an indoor mini golf place in the KC area that isn't your rundown mall-style money grab that pops up occasionally, only to disappear when the luster wanes away. And after seeing the setup here, I don't think that luster will wane here as fast.

Although it was pretty busy when we visited (Father's Day, dads played free!), movement through the course was fairly steady, with a couple of places on the Blue course that were a bit of a bottleneck if a party ahead of you was a bit larger than yours or others around you. But the variance of what each hole brought was a great way to keep my kids going through all 18 holes, with at least 4 holes on that course that didn't start with you using your putter.

Pricing was well within what I'd expect for a round, and the 36 hole pricing is great too, but wasn't something we did this time around. They also have an adult-only 9-hole course that from afar looks like a good date night thing to do that's a bit outside the box. And for the more serious golfer they have 2 simulator bays that are available for hourly rental.

If I had any criticisms to hand out, it would be minor nitpicking, such as the aforementioned bottlenecks, especially around the billard table hole; the difficulty in scoring a free game on the 18th (I realize you don't want to just give games away left and right but that setup is borderline impossible); and maybe having better established lines into each of the 2 courses after you grab your ball and putter (was just sort of hectic on our visit, probably wouldn't be an issue during other less busy periods), but otherwise the place is clean and fun, a great way to spend an hour or 2 indoors on a hot afternoon. We'll definitely be back to try the...

I had a blast at Prehistoric Putt with my nephew. We chose the adventure course, which had some amazing holes with dinosaurs, crossbows, and even a zip line. The course was well-maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. The zip line was a highlight for me, as it was thrilling and fun. The course was not too easy or too hard, and we had a great time competing with each other. Prehistoric Putt is a must-visit for anyone looking for a fun and unique mini golf experience in Independence. The place was clean and spacious, and the prices were reasonable. We paid $12 per person for the adventure course, which included 18 holes and the zip line. They also have an adult course with mini games and drinks, and a challenge course with more difficult holes. They have a snack bar with popcorn, candy, and soda, and a gift shop with souvenirs and toys. The staff was attentive and courteous, and they made sure we had everything we needed. They also gave us some tips on how to play some of the holes, which was very helpful. We spent about an hour and a half playing the adventure course, and we had so much fun that we wanted to try the other courses as well. We will definitely come back again and bring our friends. Prehistoric Putt is one of the best mini golf places we have ever been to, and we highly recommend it to anyone who loves dinosaurs, adventure, and fun. It is a great place for families, couples, or groups of friends to have a memorable...
