Let's start with the owners and the staff. It is apparent that this team love what they do. It was a comfortable and welcoming experience from the moment we arrived. There is no corporate cold shoulder here, they are locally owned and operated. A very family friendly environment. Now for the rooms: we were able to play these excellent rooms in the order to which they were created.
The Metro Mayhem room was fast paced with clever puzzles and fun tasks that will have your entire group laughing while building you up to a really chaotic and time crunching ending. A clever use of space and a light hearted humorous ending. Even your 14 year old cool kid will love this adventure.
Deadwood Saloon: Your classic old western style with some unique surprises, this room delivers a traditional escape room experience that holds up in the era of a wildly advancing industry. With a little assistance, even a younger group will manage to find the treasure.
Missing: While being their first room to delve into the horror theme, they pull it off with a casual brilliance. Although intense it's not emotionally crippling for most people. And with an obvious ending that many rooms in this genre lack.
Wrecked: This room alone was worth the 2 hour drive. From the set design to the puzzle flow, everything was well thought out and delivered a great experience. Another intense room without being to scary for most people. The ending requires everyone to work separately to complete this challenge. My favorite ending of the day.
The Coral Kingdom: Very few independent owners would even atempt to build this room. The construction alone must have been a challenge. Fun from the beginning to the end with a great flow and obvious objectives. Each completed task gives instant feedback and a great use of audio in the various announcements throughout the experience. Another great an obvious ending. Bring the entire family, everyone will love this lighthearted adventure. Thanks to everyone at Masterpiece for giving us a great experience, with a special thanks to Bec who was our GM for...
Read moreLooking for an unforgettable escape room experience in North Carolina? Look no further than this amazing establishment that I recently had the pleasure of visiting! From start to finish, my friends and I were thoroughly impressed with every aspect of our visit, and it was all thanks to the incredible work of the owner.
Right from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with such warmth and friendliness that immediately set the tone for what would be an incredible afternoon. The owner was so passionate and enthusiastic, and their excitement was completely contagious as they talked us through the incredible story and explained all of the amazing features and details we'd soon be encountering.
And speaking of the story, it was truly an immersive experience from start to finish. The sound effects were top-notch, and the storyline was so engaging and well thought-out that we were completely and utterly hooked from the first second. We went into the wrecked roo .And of course, the clues themselves were absolutely amazing - challenging but not impossible, and completely satisfying to solve.
Overall, I can't recommend this escape room highly enough. Not only is it one of the most highly rated in the area, but the passion and dedication of the owner is truly palpable and makes for an unforgettable experience. So whether you're looking for a fun activity with friends or a unique date night idea, be sure to check out this incredible escape room - I know I'll definitely be...
Read moreMy family and I are escape room enthusiasts. We planned a trip to an amusement park last week and when we found that the park wasn't something we were enjoying Escape Rooms were our first alternative to look for. I am so glad we found Masterpiece Escape Rooms. The staff were some of the friendliest I've found at any escape room. They were warm, welcoming and engaging.
We have done dozens of rooms, but the rooms at Masterpiece are some of the best we've done. The staff do a great job of telling the story in person. The story lines are well developed and ingrained in the rooms. The puzzles are fun and make you think. They have a slightly different layout than many rooms that lets your group spread out, you can cooperate on puzzles or work on multiple puzzles at the same time.
Missing is a great, somewhat spooky room with a fun story line, great puzzles and visual design that draws you into the story.
We had so much fun in missing that we did something we've never done before and went right back into another game.
The attention to detail that was put into wrecked is obvious from the start. Again you can work together on puzzles or spread out and work different facets at the same time. Clues range from pretty straight forward to very subtle. The sound and ligthing in this room are top notch and there are some fun scares.
I would definitely recommend Masterpiece Escapes any day of the week. Great group of people with some top notch...
