Krannert Park — Attraction in Indianapolis

Nice little spot but I will never rent from here again for a event.Firstly a worker came in saying he was checking to see if everybody was okay because somebody said that a child was breathing heavily that came into the room first and foremost if somebody was needing medical services they would be on their way to the hospital not staying at a baby shower.Then somebody else came in the room and stated that I was suppose to be out of the room at 2:30 not 3:30 so I had to go get my contract to show the times I paid for. I’ve been coming to Krannert for over a decade. When they announced closure for renovation I was very excited. Since reopening I’ve been pretty disappointed. They got millions of dollars and had 2.5/3 years to work and couldn’t even take the time to tighten the screws on the steering wheel to the playground for the kids or added 2 swings to the missing spots in the swing set. They also had all late winter and all of spring since the park reopened to make sure the new splash pad would be ready, yet half of summer has gone by and it STILL isn’t open. While the new weight room and natatorium are very nice, it just seems like for the money and time that went in and went by to get a new center for our community, it seems...

I took the family here to do some fishing. It was our first visit and we really enjoyed it. There is plenty of shade and benches to sit on, which was nice on a hot day. Pond was nice and fairly clean for a public pond. There are decent sized fish in the pond which was a nice surprise. There is a nice playground next to the pond for when the kids got bored. We did not go by the swimming pool area. Only negatives were the trash cans were full and overflowing and as more people showed up to swim, several of the families got really loud in the parking lot using language not appropriate for a family park.
