My experience started with Michael Hanna, if that's even his name. I called to order transportation from the airport. As he was talking I'm simply saying, "I understand". I had to say it several times because he gave me the instructions several. Then all of a sudden he asked did I want him to hang up on me. I asked "Are you serious??" And he laughs. Like a wicked laugh. I'm quiet at this point and then I hear a dial tone!!!!!! 😡 When I calm down I call back. Mr. Hanna answers the phone. I responded that I had just spoken to him and request to speak to a manager because at this point I don't know if he reserved transportation for me. He said he did and he was sorry because he was having a bad day. His bad day could have easily had me cancel. The only reason why I didn't is because my room was paid for in advance. When I arrived Thursday afternoon, I met Mr. Hanna who offered me "snacks" because of his behavior. I took a sprite and a 3 Musketeer. Nice gesture, but it wasn't enough.
Let's not get started on the guy driving the van. I was going to tip him $5 after we arrived to the hotel but he wanted to talk politics and I was not interested and felt very uncomfortable. Even leaving the hotel, no sooner than the van takes off he started talking politics. I told him I was NOT interested. Although he talked about politics on thursday, it was a new day and i had planned to tip again UNTIL he opened that mouth.
Outside of the above, my stay was peaceful and relaxing. The bed was comfortable. I thought that by this being a suite it would have silverware, plates, glasses etc. Nope. Just the fridge, microwave and coffee maker. But I was able to get plates and forks from the breakfast area.
Not too far from downtown, which was the reason i was there. The price to stay there was good. The staff not mentioned above were nice. But unfortunately i would not stay at this...
Read moreIf I could give this place a zero I would. We were traveling from Green Bay WI to Chattanooga TN. We got tired and it was raining so we just pulled in to find a room. It was $106 for the night. Clean but run down. The guy checking me in took my driver's license when booking the room. Handed me the pack with the key cards and wifi password. We went out to the car got our bags and walked right past the desk again. In the morning we went down to get breakfast right past the desk again and again. I also brought the keys down and checked out as we were leaving. We got 3.5 hrs away when I panicked because my license was missing. I knew the last place I had it was the hotel so i called and the girl answering said hold please came back and said yes its here i just found it. We had to cancel several tours because I didnt have an Id or turn around and drive back for a 7-8 hr round trip and still lose money on scheduled tours. On the way home we stopped to get my license and I wasnt exactly mad yet but then we sat at the front desk with no one in sight for 20-25 mins. Then the same guy that checked me in the first night comes walking thru the side door with a freaking mixed drink in his hand from the bar next door!!!! When I told him I wanted to know what policy they had in place so this doesnt happen he laughed at me and told me he gave me my license back now so he didn't know what my problem was. Umm you my problem is you.i dont think anyone should lose their job right before xmas but come on that is a terrible terrible employee. I will never stay at a...
Read moreStaff was very welcoming and friendly. First night got there very late, had no problem checking in after confirming ahead. ||Sign said sold out but never caused a problem so staff handled it well. ||Only issue some of the bed sheets on bed were stained. Others okay. Able to use the clean sheet. || I think they would have fixed it sooner, but because of arrival time I did not let them know until next morning. When I brought to their attention next day, however, they changed out all the sheets, no problem. Also, they gave extra towels and toilet paper upon request.|Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Liked the pancake making machine. ||You could open window which was great to let air in. Easy to control temperature by heater/ air conditioner. TV is above in a corner, worked fine. Drawer and closet space ample. ||Neighborhood was very open, suburban mall like area, no safety concern, and parking easy. Lots of stores and restaurants in area including a Sam's club right behind the Microtel. About 15 min from city center, at most. Easy to get to the city.||In sum, I would like a little overall cleaner, but okay. If not for sheet issue and little more general cleanliness would have been excellent. But ok as is. Staff and location...
