I wouldn't recommend anyone eat from the deli. I used to work there and work safety and sanitation/hygiene isn't taken seriously. When I told Juan (store manager) about the situation, he instead took deli/bakery managers side. We were stressed out in the back and they were not making it any easier with it's unorganized and cramped conditions. I was met with hostility when I tried approaching deli/bakery manager about this. OSHA and the health department have already visited this site. Stater Bros is starting to get the reputation of treating its own workers horribly. Workers on the spectrum or with certain disabilities are not accommodated at all, and I've witnessed one of my own co-workers (on the spectrum) break down hyperventilating by managers over a minor mistake with a customer. While customers might enjoy the shopping experience, I urge them to tell their friends and family to not work for this company. Terrible pay, unfair treatment, questionable practices, and disregard for...

I knocked a star off, because since the remodel, a lot of the in-store bakery items such as fresh bread, handmade tortillas, and desserts don’t seem to be as abundant. They are difficult to find in the store, because the product placement is inconsistent with what those items are, and then when you do find them, there isn’t a lot in stock. A small disappointment, but overall still a very nice...
Read moreWe don't normally shop at this market. The four stars are for the meat department. I watched as the men behind the counter took care of the two customers ahead of me. One woman who said she was from Salton City appeared to be buying hundreds of dollars of meat... and then it was my turn. The sirloin steak was on sale but the only piece in the tray was not to my liking. Not a problem. The counterman went and got another tray and selected a lovely steak for us. If the steak is good and I think that it will be I will return to Staters especially for the meat department and the countermen who pay attention to the...
