The negative reviews left here have commented about the wait time and I feel compelled to address that. Yes this place can get very busy but that is because this is the best place in town to take your pet. The doctors here are so compassionate and genuinely care about what is best for your pet's health and pet owners that come here know that. That is why so many people come here for their pets and why it is frequently busy. Perhaps it is that there are just too many clients for so few doctors, but that should be seen as a good thing - so many pet owners wanting to see these amazing exceptional doctors is a testament to their skill and genuine concern for your pet. Also the wait time is a reflection of the doctors and staff's want to help as many pets as possible. The doctors and staff at Centinela Animal Hospital REALLY REALLY do care about pets health, this is not the kind of place that will charge your for a whole slew of unnecessary tests, but rather will do what is best to properly diagnose your pet. And really the wait time is not that bad- sometimes it does get SUPER busy but in no way is it like that all the time. The customers that left reviews where they were waiting for hours or what have you clearly came in here on one of these days, take a look at all the other positive reviews. My dog needed surgery and I'm young, a student and don't make a lot of money and I'm not certain if the type of surgery my dog needed could not be done here or would be more expensive if performed here, but they helped me look for a good surgeon for the best price in light of my financial situation and the imperativeness and urgency of my dog's surgery. I mean who does that! The answer- people who really care about helping animals. The doctors and staff here truly care about my Chloe and is alive today because of their concern and expertise. Thank you Dr. Johnson and Dr. Orme (I hope I didn't spell any names wrong) and all the staff especially the ladies at the front desk. I highly recommend Centinela...
Read moreMy pup was coughing uncontrollably I brought him to this hospital. Dr Johnson explained everything from the medical side perfectly. However, she doesn't give you a price of her recommendation when letting you know what is needed in order to take care of your pet. After speaking with the doctor he front desk calls you with totals. I paid the bill and came back for a follow-up. On my second visit the front desk person Alex is so difficult. I had to repeat myself multiple times after give all of my information to check in for the appointment. After that appointment the recommendation it was recommended to call back in a week to give an update to the doctor and schedule vaccines. I called back within that week left a message for the doctor to call me back at a specific number. I never heard from the doctor. Today I am at my visit the was scheduled at 830 which is here first appointment of the day. I waited 20 minutes after being on time and the doctor did not call like they stated. I called back to ask if the doctor was still available the response I received the doctor needed timebto review my file. If I'm the first appointment you should have been reviewing the file at least 10 minutes prior to the appointment. After finally speaking with the doctor and expressing my concerns about my current appointment and not receiving a call back when requested. She stated to me that she called the number on file and was not give the number I specified to contact me on. She also stated that the clinic manager Monique was the person who took my call. The vet services here are absolutely great and recommend. The customer service piece is TRASH and needsa lot of work!!!! If you are apart of the working class this in not the place for you because your time will be wasted. If you are retired or have time to spare you've found a great place. Out of my overall time here Kenize has be absolutely great each time I've...

Where to start. As a LA girl born and raised, I know prices for vet care are absolutely outrageous in the surrounding area. The care isn’t even care but a rotating door for some doctors. And even if you pay an arm and a leg, there is no relationship Building with you or education on what is going on with your dog…….NOT HERE…..Fair prices, attentive staff, and a heart centered doctor who cares holistically for your babies. He won’t try to sell something you don’t need without trying the most affordable solution first. Other places will upsell and just for being in a better area, and will Sell you things just to make you spend and feed on your fear and vulnerability, but here they really are trying to find a solution for the issue. Right now we’re trying to figure out if it’s just fleas or allergies that’s caused him to chew on his skin. The doctor offered so many options and helped us pick something reasonable and highlighted some holistic solutions if this doesn’t help. You truly have to pay extra for a space that uplifts alternative medicine, and here it is just part of the practice that the doctor upholds for his center. The wait was about as average as a Drs visit and I was able to make an appointment that morning for the same day.
To address why we have to wait outside :
The doctor has had multiple Covid infections and almost DIED. He cannot take the vaccine because of adverse reaction to his system so for the safety of this doctor’s beautiful soul we have to wait outside. Honestly, it was not a bother as the day was nice and breezy. He sat with us for a bit and explained all of this compassionately sharing his experience…..WHILE on top of EDUCATING US on what was happening with our dog and why. We felt so at ease after what had been some stressful days. Thank you Dr Palmquist for such a wonderful experience we will be coming here for...
