I purchased a Groupon for a Brazilian. Lets start with the definition of a Brazilian Blow Out BRAZILIAN BLOWOUT IS THE ONLY SMOOTHING TREATMENT THAT CAN BE CUSTOMIZED. to keep curl and lose frizz, or to achieve a sleek and straight result. Known for significantly reducing drying and styling time for up to 12 weeks, a major benefit of this treatment is that it is finished at the salon with no "down" time.
See Sleek and Straight result - My hair was frizzy and dry after the application.
I told the guy doing my hair " I get my hair blown out every week, I do not want to spend the money doing that anymore. I also do not have time to do my own hair so this is why I am doing this. When I had it done years ago, I came out of the pool and my hair was straight. I loved that" His response, " Yes, makes perfect sense. You are going to love this. I am always so happy with the results for my clients"
Cut to - I said " When I had this done last they had two people working on me. They didnt want the product sitting on too long and we did the procedure 2-3 times" Him 'Yes, we will do that"
Now he blows me out - straightens me. I said "so are we doing that whole process over again? No he says - we are going to add the conditioning treatment for 2 minutes - there is an extra charge for that. ONE - No one told me about extra charges and TWO - you said we would be doing the process again.
Hair gets done - I am soooooooo FRIZZY I am about to cry. I said "this is not what a Brazilian is supposed to look like" He said "well, its like a Keratin treatment" I said " WHAT? that is not what we were talking about and definitely not what I wanted" He called a young girl over
She came over and said " You must have just gotten your hair colored cause your dark hair vs your blonde hair looks great" I showed her a picture of my gorgeous shiny hair that I had before I came in - I had a selfie" She said " Yeah your girl fries your hair but knows how to blow it out so you do not see it" WHAT?????? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The styles looked exactly the same and now it looks terrible. I said " If you're telling me this is a protein treatment - which is not what I thought I was paying $100.00 for, why doesn't it look better?" She turns to the guy who did my hair and said " You need to condition her for 20 minutes" So they did and she ended up blowing me out.
She went on and on how this is better than Keratin and that she guarantees me, that I will be back for this treatment. I said "No I wont because this is not what I came here for. I came here to temporarily straighten my curls - which is in the description of a Brazilian all over your store and on Google and which I have done in other places and ended up with smooth hair out of a wash. My hair is straight up curly. I would never spend this for a conditioning treatment especially 45 minutes from my house. My salon just doesnt offer this service" She said "well, you will have to call Groupon for a refund, we do not do that here" She went on to say " I think your hair looks better than when you came in" My hair was smooth and beautiful when I came in since I had it cut and styled last night. Very cocky.
Rewind for a second - I called letting them know that I was running 5-7 minutes late as I didnt realize how far it was. The receptionist said " Well, you better get here fast but dont get in an accident" I get there 7 minutes late and had to wait 15 minutes because he was still with a client. When he is done, he stands 5-6 feet away from me and says " are you here for a style"? I said " do you mean a Brazilian? He said " yes, turns around and starts walking to his station without introduction" I still couldnt tell you his name. Cute kid and nice though.
The girl who blew me out didn't say goodbye nor did he. Just weird.
This experience was awful and a complete waste of my time. She was full of contradictions - You shouldnt have colored your hair this week - well, your receptionist should mention that - Oh, I mean its no big deal. Well, is it or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOMG when I say that Sidney is the HAIR DOCTOR you better listen. Sidney is a life saver and I'm very grateful to have her in my life thanks to GROUPON for recommending this business. I haven't had my hair straightened in over 10 years and I'm a black woman with hair natural nappy hair if you wet my hair it draws up if you straightened my hair it draws up if you look at my hair it draws up in other words wash straighten look at or sweat I look like a chia pet š I was really nervous about going to this salon my experience at other salons was not very pleasant. Before I arrived I received a message letting me know that upon arrival that CJ would be greeting me outside and escorting me into a very clean and comfortable environment. Every station was 6 feet apart the shampoo chairs also met CDC standards. Every staff member had on masks and gloves and would not allow customers to enter without a mask on. Each station was sterilized before and after use which is helping everyone stop the virus spreading. Sidney is a wonderful beautician and she explained to me what I was getting which was a Brazilian Blowout. Sidney told me what to expect from the Blowout why other products were not working on my hair and the proper solution to fix my dry brittle hair. Ah man when I tell you that Sidney saved my hair you better listen and listen good. The end result of my hair is AMAZING and I give her 10 thumbs up if I had them lol. Their is also a section inside of the salon with beautiful clothing I bought 2 dresses and a shawl for my mom and she loves them. I am very happy with my new hair and would recommend this salon to EVERYONE NO MATTER WHAT COLOR YOU ARE I'm a beautiful black woman and Sidney ( a beautiful white woman)...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to this Salon for the first time and am pretty disappointed. I ended up spending over $260.00. I didn't get a receipt for my hair and the products I had bought. I am disappointed with how my hair turned out, especially with how much I spent and what I was having done. It was highlights and low lights on top and the dark one color peekaboo underneath. She did the sides of my head with the foils and then went to do the peekaboo one color and then went to finish the foils in the back of my head. We ended up having to wash out the side of my head before the back due to processing time(highlights), it just was not planned strategically and ultimately I am fine with that, but it's that their was also dark low lights and used warm water which definitely bleed. The low lights are very uneven and the sides of my head look much different from the back of my head. I'm not even sure she used the same color for the low lights on the sides of my head than she did the back. It looks like she used the peakaboo one color... when they were supposed to be a different color brown. She did not show me the back of my head before I left. She did say she went a little heavy handed on the bang low light and I could come back and she would fix it... but I don't think I want to go back unless someone more experienced is willing to fix my hair. I already don't go to salons often because it seems like nothing ever turns out, I've been doing my own hair for several yearsš¤·āāļø I guess I should of saved my $260+ and...
