The staff at this facility is disorganized and unprofessional. I wanted to cancel my membership and it became an huge ordeal when it should’ve been an easy process. I called in a month ago to cancel my membership and the front desk had told me to wait for a confirmation email, I called a week later to confirm and she said she was still waiting on the management team. They claim that they sent me forms but I never received them. Another month goes by and I am thinking my cancelation is confirmed because that’s what was said on the phone. However, money gets pulled out of my account again. I call back to explain the situation and the front desk says they will get back to be later in the day. I call the next day, then the next day and the next day. The manager doesn’t come to the phone and took over 4 days to contact me. Up until this point I was trying to be very patient and understanding. I don’t know what she could possibly be doing for 4 days to not be able to call an agitated customer back. Shows how irresponsible and careless she is. I contacted other Massage Envy’s in hopes of getting an answer but found out this facility is independently owned. This made her upset and she finally decided to contact me through email. She was rude, and entitled. Instead of apologizing for her unresponsiveness or willingness to listen to me she decided to say calling wouldn’t make the process faster and she has a 24-72 hour window to reply back even if it’s been over 4 days. She also denied that I called the previous month and stated I did receive an email when I didn’t. She said I was making “accusations” implying that I was lying about when I called and how frequently. This is the most irresponsible thing I’ve seen from an establishment. I don’t recommend becoming a member as ending membership would mean you wouldn’t get in contact with the proper resources. If you have problems forget getting ahold of a manager, they’re careless. Instead of feeling relaxed as you should be while getting massages, I felt more stressed. Not worth your money or your time there are plenty of better...
Read moreI’ve been getting regular massages for years, and this was my first time trying this location in Woodbury Town Center—unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst massage experience I’ve ever had.
I booked an appointment online and randomly selected a therapist. From the moment the session started, it was clear that customer service here was not about care but about tipping pressure and upselling. The therapist immediately told me that she provides better service if she receives a good tip and that she won’t put in her best effort if the tip is too low. When I asked what she considered a “good” vs. “bad” tip (note: a 60-minute massage at the intro price is $85), she bluntly said that $20 was not enough and that $30 was better. She then proceeded to tell me a story about a customer who once tipped her $100 and even mentioned that she will block customers who don’t tip well. On top of that, she strongly hinted that I should tip her in cash instead of using a card at the front desk.
The worst part? She made an inappropriate racial comment about how certain people tip less than others. Even though I don’t belong to that group, I found this incredibly offensive and unprofessional.
Throughout the entire session, she constantly pushed for enhancement services and would not take no for an answer. Even when I tried to redirect the conversation, she wouldn’t stop. Honestly, I came in for a relaxing, quiet self-care experience, not an hour-long lecture on tipping and forced gratitude.
When I checked out, I let the front desk know about my experience, and to their credit, they were very professional. They offered me 30% off this visit and a free enhancement next time—which I appreciated, but unfortunately, I won’t be coming back. No discount can make up for the stress I experienced here.
If you’re looking for a relaxing, professional massage experience, I would not...
Read moreGreat experience from booking to floating out of there after my appointment. 100 times better than Massage Heights.
I had a giftcard I wanted to use the same day. The front desk staff who booked my appointment was friendly and got me in for a 50 min deep tissue at 7:30pm with Alex.
I arrived and was greeted by the front desk staff (I wish I got her name she was so nice). She assisted with filling out the online paperwork while I was comfortably seated. Alex met me at the door, greeted me, and walked me to her room.
Alex was super communicative and helped set a plan for the massage since I had some problem areas I needed focus on. Throughout the massage she checked in and helped prioritize what I needed work on most since I was only in there for an hour and my body was pretty messed up. She was intentional, passionate about massage therapy, and had great technique and pressure. At the end of the massage, she even gave me stretching tips to help with my neck and leg pains I had been having.
If you want massage therapy where you can communicate clearly what your needs are and have them achieved, she's your massage therapist! I was floating out of there cross eyed lol....
