I like chiptole. I mean I LOVE chiptole. That's why I wanted to show my co workers they could have good yummy food that was same price as crappy mcdonalds ends up being for a meal. So I placed a group order for 16 people online hours in advance of our pick up.
I was so embrassed because when we got the food which is only a 10 min drive away they food was cold. Not only that the wait time for a pick up was beyond what it should be for food that should have already been prepped.
What put me off most is the skimmpy portions in all the containers most of these people never had chiptole before so they didnt know how good it should be. You usually get nice heaping spoons full of piping hot beans rice and meat. The bowls are usually over the brim full before they put on the lid. What we recieved were bowls that only half the bottom tray was full. It was so embarrassing. People didn't like it because it was cold and not as fresh and delicious as usual.
This location made me look very bad with their skimpy portions, slow service and cold food. I even asked for extra cheese and got sprinkles in my veggie bowl.
I went later in person to this location for my own lunch and they have to be told several times to add more they try to put half a ladel of rice beans and sofritas and cheese too. This is the skimpiest location. Most chipotles put a heaping spoons full.
I watched and saw many people ordering don't speak up and they get quarter full bowls of food.
I feel cheated, they put my job in jeopardy especially when people later said they didn't feel well and have to go home early.

The last time I was here, Sunday 11/14 3:20pm, I picked up a business card to email the manager directly but lost it and have no desire to return, so writing a review instead. The staff here need better training. I am all about high schoolers and college students having jobs, but they need to be trained on how to provide basic attentive customer service. Especially at an establishment where communication between the staff and patron are necessary from start to finish of food prep, it's only common knowledge to be attentive throughout it. I don't need the person I'm talking to to have their attention on their coworker and chatting in between taking my order, causing me to repeat myself each and every time. "Rice?" "White rice, please." "What?" "White rice.." (talks to coworker). "Beans?" "Black beans." "What kind?" ".....black." Until the end, even as I was paying. Not only that, when I was done paying and picking up a business card, the girl at the register dipped. I looked over at the line forming and literally only one employee on the floor and about seven (not exaggerating) in the back chit chatting about something that probably could've waited until the line died down. 3/3 of my visits left me wondering where their priorities are at. Anyhow, I went to a Chipotle in the Woodbury neighborhood of Irvine, CA. I had some issues with my order and I called the store and spoke to the manager Austin about it. Austin was extremely nice, kind and polite when offering to resolve my issue. He was very apologetic and he went well above and beyond to put a smile on my face, as he said he strives to do with every customers that visits his restaurant. Austin provided excellent customer service and he really blew me away with how he so graciously handled my situation.
It is customer services like what Austin provided that keeps me going back to an establishment for many years to come. Although I have three other Chipotle locations that a tiny bit more convenient between my home and work, I will go to Austin’s location in Woodbury going forward because I know that the service will put a smile on my face.
