Hey there! I just had the most amazing time at Massage Matters, and I can't wait to spill all the details. As soon as I walked in, this serene zen vibe washed over me, and I instantly felt at ease.
Seriously, the whole place was like a dream. The lighting was perfectly soft, the music had this incredibly soothing effect, and the aroma in the air was absolutely heavenly. And let me tell you, the staff at Massage Matters were incredibly kind. They went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable throughout my entire visit. They totally get the importance of creating a laid-back atmosphere for their guests.
Now, let's dive into the massage itself. I opted for their signature treatment, and oh my goodness, it surpassed all my expectations. My therapist was an absolute pro, and she genuinely listened to my needs. She tailored the massage specifically to target those tension spots, and let me tell you, it was pure magic. The perfect balance of gentle and firm strokes, and those stubborn knots didn't stand a chance.
The massage room itself felt like a slice of paradise. Think soft, cozy linens, a wonderfully warm massage table, and the most relaxing color scheme you can imagine. They even had this tranquil background music playing and subtle aromatherapy wafting through the air. It was like being transported to a haven of complete bliss and pampering.
But you know what blew me away? The attention to detail. My therapist made sure I was completely comfortable throughout the entire session. She adjusted the pressure and temperature according to my preferences, and the quality of oils and lotions used was top-notch. My skin felt incredibly nourished and hydrated afterwards. And here's the icing on the cake—they offered extra amenities like a cozy lounge area, a steam room, and delicious drinks. Talk about going the extra mile to keep that post-massage bliss alive!
Honestly, if you're in need of some serious relaxation time, I wholeheartedly recommend Massage Matters. They know how to create a truly magical escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. Treat yourself to some well-deserved pampering there, and get ready to be transported to a realm of pure bliss. You...
Read moreI went recently to massage matters and it was just ok. I had been a handful of times in the past couple years, and gotten decent massages but in the last year I got one I didn’t love so I stopped going. Recently I was feeling a little puffy and was looking for a lymphatic drainage massage. I decided to try a new massage therapist and unfortunately she really didn’t seem to know what she was doing. For example, the woman (Tiffany) would massage one arm and use a hot stone, but then didn’t use the hot stone on the other arm. Same with my legs. It was very inconsistent. She added lots of oil, sometimes it was cold and sometimes it was warm. She never asked me how it was feeling, or if I was doing ok. She walked around me to the other side of the bed, while still touching my arm/ legs and pinched me on multiple occasions. Most importantly, I had asked for a lymphatic drainage massage, expecting that she would actually massage me in specific directions on my arms and legs that would help to “drain” my lymph nodes, and that did not happen. She rubbed oil all over me and seemed to not know what to do. She left a towel under my head which I had to reposition and it was not supportive of my neck at all… I was not too pleased. When asked how it went by the receptionist, I explained kindly what I had asked for, and that was not really what I got. I basically got oil rubbed all over me without any intention and I was a little confused. Another therapist happened to be standing behind the desk there and said oh well we are all trained differently… which didn’t really make me feel better. I was mostly disappointed I still had to pay $160 after all that. I wish I would have been offered to return and try out a different therapist. The receptionist just apologized that I didn’t like it, asked if I wanted the membership which I most certainly did not at that point and charged my card. I’m disappointed and dissatisfied and will think twice about returning now that I have had multiple poor...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about my massage therapist, Mariah! She is absolutely phenomenal! I have chronic back and shoulder pain, and I’ve had at least 100 massages in my lifetime so far… And Mariah’s massages are by FAR the best I’ve ever had! She really listens to where your pain is, and is able to help get all those pesky knots out! However, she’s not SO forced on just the knots that you can’t relax. She doesn’t waste time pressure pointing to uncomfortable levels, and makes sure to target all the areas you ask for. It’s that just right combo of relaxation, and targeting the tension/pain points that I’m always hoping for in a massage. Literally even if I don’t tell Mariah where my tension is, it’s like she can read my mind and just does the exact right pressure and everything to make it feel so great. She’s a mom, and knows all those typical tension points us Mama’s tend to get throughout the day from carrying toddlers around/ nursing/driving, etc. I have never signed up for a monthly massage service before (even though I LOVE massages), just because I’ve always been at least slightly disappointed with the quality of my massage. But after one massage with Mariah, I signed up right away with Massage Matters! I’ve gotten a few massages from her so far and I’m never disappointed. I look forward to going every time to get some much needed self-care. If you’ve been looking for someone with obvious knowledge of the body and muscle tension, someone you can trust to help your back feel better every time, and someone who is just a calming presence and helps you feel comfortable, and who is friendly and personable, I would definitely recommend Mariah!...
